Until I Was Saved..

Chapter 20

-Warren pov-

That night, after a looong explanation to Chase's parents as to why a random man had forced his way into their home and what events had been leading up to that, they, being the amazing people that they are, told me that I could stay for as long as I needed.

They even set me up with an air mattress in Chase's room, which is way more than I've gotten in a long time. We didn't tell them about the whole dating thing though, I decided not to bring that up since, by the looks of it, they didn't even know Chase is into guys and it does not look like Chase is ready to come out.

Anyway back to what I was saying, that night after the whole explanation, Chase made sure I had plenty of blankets, and then when I said I was okay he gave me more, and then I slowly fell asleep on the air mattress.

-4 hours later-

-3rd person pov-

After a few hours of nightly sparring in the backyard with his brother's, Chase took a shower and came back into his room and closed the door behind him before noticing the sound of Warren talking in his sleep.

Chase turned a dim lamp on so he could see and went over to Warren's bed and sat down next to him.

"No.. " Warren said.

"No... No... Not again.... Stop... " quietly left Warren's lips as tears began to fall down his face.

Chase put a hand on Warren's shoulder to try to gently wake him up,  triggering Warren to wake up in a cold sweat, tightly grabbing Chase's arm to get him off, not realizing who it was.

"Hey. It's okay. You're safe. It's just me"

Warren saw Chase, and heard what he said before slowly bringing his arms around his neck and burying his face into the crook of his shoulders.

Chase, naturally, reciprocated the embrace and pulled him closer before asking, "bad dream?"

Warren whispered, "yeah.. "

"You wanna talk about it?"

Warren pulled away from the hug, looked away, and shook his head no.

"Okay... Well. " Chase slowly brought his hand to Warren's chin, and turned his face toward his, so he'd look at him, "I'm about to go to bed. Do you want to sleep with me tonight?"

Warren hesitated and started to look nervous, turning a little red. Chase, chuckled and quickly shook his head to clarify, "No no not like that! Not like that at all, I mean do you just want to sleep in my bed with me? Ya know.. To help with nightmares.. I promise I'll be a gentleman"

Warren still thought for a second before nodding.

Chase then picked up a blanket and wrapped it around Warren and gently picked him up and carried him to his bed.

Warren wrapped his arms around Chase's neck as he was being layed down. Chase promptly kicked off his slippers and crawled in bed, laying close with his boyfriend, wrapping an arm around his waist before they both drifted off to sleep.
