Hiro Hamada: A True Hero

A Brother's Love

        An hour has passed when Tadashi heard a faint groan. Hiro fluttered his eyes open for the first time in several hours. " Hey bro." said Tadashi trying not to scream in excitement. " W-what h-happened?" whispered Hiro. Tadashi replied " A man in a kabuki mask attacked us from behind. You made a pretty hard impact with the street but the doctor said you should recover in a couple weeks." answered Tadashi.  " Whoa, I-i don't remember t-that at all." said Hiro in awe. Just then Hiro winced in pain. Tadashi noticed that blood was seeping through the large bandage on his brothers head. " Ok just take it easy. Looks like you need your bandage changed. I'll be right back." said the older brother. Hiro nodded in reply. 

        About three minutes had passed when Hiro heard a loud thud come from just outside the window in his room. He tried to sit up but hissed to the throbbing pain in his head and chest, for he had broken a few ribs as well. However, despite the pain, he pushed himself out of his hospital bed and tried to take the few steps to the window. He immediately fell to the ground, causing just about his whole body to burn as if it were on fire. Suddenly to Hiro's surprise, the same masked man who attacked them a few days back was right in front of the window. He immediately fired the same type of microbots through the window causing glass to shadder. He tried to crawl as far away from the window as possible, but got his hands and for-arms cut by the shattered glass on the way. Out of the window came the microbots again and inch by inch swarmed his room. Hiro had no option but to try and run, run as fast as he could. He got to his feet and trotted out of the room, falling but catching himself on the wall as he made it to the waiting area where he saw his brother. By now his vision was blurry and could feel blood dripping down his face. " Hiro!" cried Tadashi. He quickly ran to his brother's aid. Just then Hiro's vision blacked out sending him straight to the ground with his brother catching him right before he his the tile floor. " Check his room!" yelled Tadashi. Other nurses ran to his room standing in shock at what they found. " Mr. Hamada, I think you should see this." said a younger nurse. Tadashi put Hiro on a stretcher sending him back to the intensive care unit for more treatment. He ran to the room where his brother was last laying. He saw the broken window, shattered glass, blood on the floor, and strangely, a single microbot stuck under the sheets of Hiro's hospital bed. At this moment Tadashi realized who did this to his brother.
