13. Past, Present and Future

"Are you excited?" Taehyung slowly found his hand on Jin's hand, gently caressing it lightly.

Jin who was looking out from a glass window from an airplane shifted his body and turned himself to Taehyung; he never stopped to amazed and adored the look on Taehyung face; so genuine and affectionate as always.

"Yes, Taehyung. I cannot wait to see Namjoon. Can't wait to tell him how proud I am of him."

Namjoon got a called from South Korea when his random rapping video got blown up when he was freestyling at Taehyung's cafe during one of their dinner celebrations. It turned out that one entertainment agency in Korea was interested in signing him and Namjoon didn't think twice before agreeing to it. Namjoon had never lost his passion for rapping and music. It was like it had always embedded in his lifeline. Despite all those tiring long hours of working, he would always come back home and instead of flopping himself down on the thin mattress and sleep away from his tiredness, Namjoon would instead sit on his small chair and writing down music.

Jin adored Namjoon. After all, they had always been there together since from the beginning. Jin chuckled to himself remembering the first time he had a conversation with Namjoon on the airplane. And the moment when he had found out that Namjoon was as clueless as him about their new life here in this big city, Tokyo.

Namjoon was very sad when he had to leave Jin but he knew he didn't have anything to worry about as Jin would always have Taehyung there by his side.

Jin meant the world to Taehyung. It didn't take a stupid person to notice the fondness and the dedication in Taehyung's eyes when he saw or talked about Jin. And they saw the way Jin looked at Taehyung too. Like he was the best thing that had ever happened to him. But sometimes they saw the way Taehyung looked at Jin with fears in his eyes that Jin would walk out and leave him at any moment.

"Joonie!"

"Jin-hyung! Taehyung!"

"You were great up there, Joonie! You were the best!!!!" Jin hugged Namjoon so tightly; he didn't realize that he had missed the younger boy so much. "Great job Namjoon-hyung." Taehyung looked at the two of them feeling the warmth bloomed inside his chest. He knew how much Jin had always thought about Namjoon because everything that Jin did, Jin always mentioned to Taehyung that it reminded him of Namjoon every time.

Jin had moved into Taehyung's apartment right after Namjoon left. Taehyung wanted Jin to move in since after Jin had told him everything that night; about his pain and his past. Taehyung wanted to embrace Jin forever 24/7 so Jin would remember that he is loved and that he was matter, to Taehyung. But he didn't want to pressure Jin so much about moving, and he was somewhat scared that Jin might feel bothered that he was moving things too fast with him. So when he heard that Namjoon would be leaving Tokyo, he found the motivation to finally ask Jin to move in.

"Where is... Yoongi?" Namjoon looked around them like he was trying to find someone. Yes, he was trying to find Yoongi.

Taehyung suddenly felt a lump in his throat but he pushed himself to say it.

"He cannot make it. He said to send you his congratulation" Taehyung smiled at Namjoon with guilt and pity.

After that night at their New Year party, Yoongi brought Namjoon home. They had a one night stand that night. But it wasn't just a one night stand for Namjoon. The clumsy had had a crush on Yoongi since the first time he had met him when he visited Jin in Boku no Cafe.

But Yoongi made it clear that there was nothing between them and that he wasn't interested in having anything more than that. It left Namjoon devastated though. But the latter had never given up.
