Kaitlyn's POV

"Can you please tell me why we're here?" I ask with a chuckle looking to my five year old daughter when my boyfriend never responds, but she just shakes her head and makes a zipping motion across her lips.

"I wanted to bring you someplace special." Peter laughs and I look around with a look of teasing disbelief. "You run faster than sound, and you brought us to the doorstep of your old house?" The two of them share a look trouble and mischief, and I'm suddenly getting the urge to turn and run.

"Okay stand..." He pauses reaching out and readjusting me on the welcome mat that is still scorched, and then takes a step back. "To me it was five years ago that we started our adventure. You showed up to tell me this little girl, the light of my life," he pauses again this time so he can reach down and ruffle Maddie's hair.

"Was on the way, and... Things went a little south-"

"That's an understatement." I chuckle pulling Maddie into my side my hand running through her shoulder length brown hair as she hugs my leg. "Well I ended up revealing stuff first, and that lead us on the craziest adventure I've ever been on. Which is only topped by the greatest adventure of my life which is waking up everyday with you two at my side."

He drops down onto his knee, and pulls out a small box. Maddie's practically vibrating, and when I look down at her her smile is so big it's making my face hurt. She's been bothering us with this since her birthday asking if we actually love each other, and why we can't be like other mommies and daddies. So I'm sure Peter told her, and now it makes sense why she's been in such a great mood.

"Madalyn Magda Maximoff, do I have your permission to ask for mommy's hand?" He asks, and now Maddie's jumping up and down. "Yes!" She shrieks smacking my thigh, and at this point I'm trying to hold back my own tears at the precious moment in front of me momentarily blanking on what's going on when he turns back to me.

"So Kaitlyn Xavier will you make the fastest guy in the world also the happiest and marry me?"

Peter's POV

I shift on the balls of my feet and pull at my tie for the hundredth time, and the officiant beside me shoots me another glare. Breathing in the fresh air that surrounds us out on the open lawn I try to convince myself to calm down not wanting to be the reason this ceremony is ruined.

The music starts, I have no idea what it is all of my suggestions were vetoed, and my mom and dad walk in with their arms linked. It's actually amusing seeing them getting along, I know they'll never be the couple they were, but they make great partners in crime. They sit down in the first row of white lawn chairs, and my mom takes one look at me and starts sobbing. My dad seems uncomfortable but pats her back nonetheless.

Following them are Kurt and Ororo, and then Jean and Scott who are our maid of honor and best man. The guys are wearing light gray tuxes with lilac ties and those flower things pinned to their chest, and with my darker tux and deep purple stuff Kaitlyn said they were supposed to compliment each other or something.

I guess the girls are the same in simple lilac dresses with matching flowers while I know Kaitlyn's bouquet is the same shade of deep purple that my tie is.

Lorna is next walking dramatically but carefully not wanting to drop the pillow with our rings. We told her she could be a flower girl with Maddie, but she insisted on being the ring bearer. She has on this nice white blouse with a purple ribbon tie, and small heels that she begged for for weeks.

Maddie followed skipping down the aisle, and I half to hold up my hands telling her to slow down. Thankfully she does walk down at least half of the aisle, but she's throwing more flower petals at our guests than on the ground.

The music seems to speed up and get louder as Kaitlyn herself steps out of the white tent, but it's probably all in my head. Her short blonde hair is framing her face curling in, and her simple lace dress outlines her body. Charles is wheeling himself down the aisle beside her holding her hand tightly.

Even at this distance I can see her robin egg colored eyes zoning in on me and only me, and I'm hoping I'm not reading as totally panicked in her eyes.

"This is crazy." She whispers once Charles has let her go, and she's bent over to kiss the top of his head. "But oh so right," I respond cheekily lifting her veil over her face.

The officiant thanks all of our friends for attending, and rambles on about our two lives becoming one even though I'm pretty sure we've already been living the same life.

I'm honestly trying really hard to listen, but the more he rambles the harder it is to focus on keeping myself in place. Technically I could sprint up and down the aisle before he finishes this word, but I feel like that would be frowned upon.

"Peter please take Kaitlyn's hand." My eyes look up to the officiant and then to my fiance who doesn't even look annoyed at my cluelessness, and instead takes my hand in hers only love in her features.

"Kaitlyn, you've impacted my life in a way I didn't even realize until I actually sat down and thought about it. I was a kleptomaniac struggling with who I was, but met you and even though I didn't have all the answers for once it didn't matter. I stopped stealing for you, I didn't drop out of school because of you, and I'm the man I am to day because of you. You're too good for me, and I'm going to live every second for the rest of my life making that up to you because I love you."

She sucks in deeply glancing away her eyelashes beating at ninety miles a minute, and then she turns to me perfectly poised like always. "Peter, you haven't given me a life, you've given me an adventure. If you hadn't offered me friendship when we were little I would still be with mom, and see the world as she does. Because of you I'm happy, I've met my father, and we have the most amazing little girl. You say I'm too good for, but everything good about me comes from you. I love you."

The dude calls for Lorna to bring forward the rings which she does with a broad smile and her chin lifted. "Peter as you place this ring on Kaitlyn's finger repeat these words: This ring symbolizes my love for you, and the commitments we made today."

"Thisringsymbolizesmyloveforyouandthecommitmentswemadetoday." I say in one breath and no one really knows what I just said based on their faces, but as I give Kait a sheepish smile she just chuckles.

"Um... Okay then." The poor officiant stutters out shaking his head like getting rid of my rambled words before focusing on Kaitlyn.

"Kaitlyn, as you place this ring on Peter's finger repeat these words: this ring symbolizes my love for you and the commitments we made today." She slides the ring onto my finger and looks me in the eyes those eyes of hers so endearing and gentle.

"This ring symbolizes my love for you and the commitments we made today." She says extra slowly making up for my speedy statement, and our guests chuckle lightly.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bri-" unable to restrain myself anymore I tug on our interlocked hands, and she stumbles forward allowing me to connect our lips. I can feel my body vibrating, hopefully it's not bothering her, from standing still for so long. Now it's like it's trying to run off all this excess energy, but in place.

"Are we done now?" I ask mumbling against her ear.

"We're never going to be done."
