Singing Prankster| James Potter

Chapter 8

(Oct. 5, 1974, Saturday)

Ellie's P.O.V

      Hanging out with the boys is the best. I am having so much fun with them more than when I'm with the girls. No hate towards them, I love them. But it feels different when hanging out with these boys. They are so carefree and funny. It's nice to joke about things that the girls just don't understand. Also, the fact that they are pranksters, makes it really easy for us to get along. We have a lot in common. I can feel an amazing friendship coming out of this. 

"Hey, Ellie you okay?" Remus asked with slight concern. I look at Remus and tilt my head a little and smile at him.

"Yea, of course, I was just thinking," I say. 

"Thinking about how amazing and handsome I am?" Sirius smirks at me. He was slowly inching his face closer to mine. 

"Shut up Sirius. More like how I can't even look at you without thinking of throwing up" I say and shove his face away from mine.

"That hurt me right here," Sirius says. He is pointing to the right side of his chest where he thinks his heart is.

"Your heart is on the other side, drama queen," I say laughing at him. Sirius sighs dramatically and starts to fall backward like he was fainting. The only problem was that no one was there to catch him so he fell to the floor. Sirius has the most baffled look on his face 

"What the hell, James you were supposed to catch me," Sirius says. I burst out laughing. The face he made when he realized that no one was going to catch him was hilarious.

"Whatttt, I didn't know that I was supposed to catch you. I wasn't even behind you," James says. I start to laugh even harder. 

"ok ok, let's get off the carriage now, before Sirius hurts himself some more," Remus says and goes to help Sirius get up from the floor.  

I was the first to get off the carriage. The boys told me about this joke shop called Zonko's, I believe. And now I'm really excited to go and take a look at this store. I start bouncing on the balls of my feet, waiting for the boys to catch up to me. They are really taking their time getting off the carriage. Once I see James get off, I run up to him and take his hand. Then start running off to find Zonko's joke shop. With James laughing behind me and the boys running to catch up with us. I finally find the joke shop after many twists and turns. And maybe some directions from the boys. I look up at Zonko's in awe. Where has this been my whole life? I had to make my own stuff before but this, this is going to make things so much easier. I am going to bring hell to this school. 

I feel James squeeze my hand, so I turn to look at him to see him already looking at me.

"Let's go in," James says.      

"Yea let's go in," I say with so much excitement that I could explode. 

We walk into the shop and I look around in amazement. I let go of James' hand and I immediately walk over to something that catches my eye. I grab the product and look around more. The more I look around the more I want to just buy everything in this store. Which is exactly what I did. The boys are looking at me like what I just did was crazy or something. It's not like I sold out the whole store. I just got about 1 to 10 items of every product. 

"I can't believe that you basically brought the whole store," Sirius says. I just laugh at what he says. 

"Why did you buy so much stuff," Peter says. I shrug and look at Peter with curiosity.
