I looked around one more time to see if I could spot Finn Harries. No sight, though. I sighed and looked at the note one more time, reading it over and over again.

"Hmm..." I murmured, "So this is the dude Grandma was talking about. Well then."

I rolled my eyes. Probably trying to be a goody-goody already to impress my mom. Or 'mum', as they say here.

I got up and dusted off my bottom and grabbed my bag. I glanced over at my next class and the groups of people standing in front of it. I hesitantly began to stroll over to my class, Maths. I should mention that I am a bit of a math genius and adore solving many complex problems. So, I've been placed in a combo of Calculus and Trigonometry.

The bell rang and I walked into class, pushed a couple of times by other students trying to get in.

Gosh, calm yourselves. You'll get into the classroom.

I sat in the farthest seat in the back again, and took out my pencils and notebook. I looked to my right to see a girl with a high ponytail and her uniform skirt pulled up too high. She took out a small tube of lipstick and applied it generously to her curled lips. Now, they were a shade of dark, but bright red.

Snob.

I looked to my left to see an empty seat and sighed in relief. I do not want anyone else to sit next to me and ruin my day. So there.

But, I spoke too soon. Someone was approaching to sit in that seat. No! I should've put my backpack on that seat or something...

I peered closer to see that it was the same brunette boy from my previous class. Same green eyes and same stature.

"Sorry, but is anyone sitting in this seat?"

Same politeness.

"No, go ahead."

He smiled and thanked me and put his backpack down beside his seat. Same guy who gave me the note when I was crying. Finnegan Harries.

I frowned and looked up at the teacher, who was taking some notes. She paused and looked over at me.

"Oh dear, I completely forgot. Class, we have a new student!"

Oh no. This junk again. Am I gonna have to hear this from all my classes?

"Well then? Come on up, honey." She beckoned me to the front of the class and my palms grew sweaty as I hesitantly walked over to the front of the class. Once I went to the front, I looked around to see all the bored students staring at me. I feel you guys too. Being stuck in a boring private school like this is dull. Trust me, Dolton's high school was less crappy than this.

"Why don't you introduce yourself?"

"My name is Kassandra," I said quietly.

"My, what a LOVELY name! Very beautiful, dear! Do you have any nickname?"

"Y-yeah, it's Kas. For short."

"Why don't you tell us about yourself?"

I shifted uncomfortably and looked over to see Finn smiling. This guy is making me nervous and I don't even know him that well. I feel like he's gonna judge me or something.

"Well, I'm from the USA. I used to live in Illinois, and then we moved here for..." I stopped. The reason we moved here was for my dad's health, but no way I'd tell these people about my personal life.

"We moved here for my dad's job. So, now I'm here. That's pretty much me."

I heard a few murmurs from the class, and I'm pretty sure I heard something about 'the American chick'. Well then.
