when i think of amber summers
i think of scarlet picnic cloths
and segments of peaches
with clear nectar dribbling down our wrists
and the sun turning your eyes
to glimmering crystals
your laughs are birdsong sweet
when you watch the clouds laze by
and i wish you could see you
mortal beauty-
glassy sundew-
you unmake me
i wish i could sit here all day
and watch the life course through you
electric!
i'm drowning in your
bergamot scent
wrap your hands around me
my love
and call me "yours"
i miss that summer spent by your side
when we passed the time
swimming in daydreams
treading through memories soft as silk
kissing yearning into each others skin
