Dabria woke up groggily, her eyes adjusting to the bright light in her room. She stared at the curtains blowing in her window with confusion. Her mouth was dry and her whole body hurt. When she tried to sit up, she winced and closed her eyes, lying her head back down on her pillows before she tried again. When she opened her eyes again though, she realized there was an IV in her arm, the pole standing at the end of her bed. Dabria groaned a little. What happened? Where was she? Was this hell?
When the door to her room opened, Dabria turned to look and in walked Timothy Drake.
Tim was carrying a tray of food, not for Dabria but for himself and the second he saw Dabria staring at him, he dropped everything and rushed to her side. The silverware and ceramic plates crashed and food spilled everywhere. Dabria would've scolded him if she wasn't so surprised to see him. "Oh my god Dabria." He said, touching her face lightly were the purple bruises were still slowly fading. Dabria winced as Tim pushed back a lock of her hair.
"Stop. If this is hell. Just stop." She whispered, squeezing her eyes shut tightly. Tim laughed, still brushing back her hair.
"Dabria, this isn't hell."
"Everything hurts. I'm pretty sure hell hurts. Malum's probably been torturing me for hours and I just don't remember." Tim pursed his lips and moved back before slowly sitting down in the chair by her bed.
"Dabria, I'm serious. It's me."
"Stop." Dabria snapped at him, opening her eyes to glare at Tim. "I killed Tim Drake. He's dead. He went to heaven and I'm stuck here in hell with Malum and god knows what else."
"It was a rouse Dabria. You didn't kill me."
"I. Killed. Tim. Drake. Now reveal yourself or whatever and stop messing with me." Dabria waited for Tim to turn into some kind of demon, for the room to fade to rock and fire and ash but nothing happened.
"Dabria, I'm really here. The real world hurts too you know." Tim flicked her arm and Dabria winced pathetically.
