It's a nice autumn day and the leaves have fallen off the tree and children run wild through the piles of leaves driving all the men in Stars Hallow crazy.
Rory: Blair! (Telling to her little sister) Be careful there could be snakes in there.
Blair: (shouts back) What are you talking about there are no snakes in Stars Hallow! But I be careful!
Rory: (looks down again her phone one miss message from mom)
Lorelai: Hey honey! It's mom, I want to let you know meet me at Luke's diner in 5 minutes otherwise you two get to watch me eat dinner!!(laughing evilly) but seriously I have some news for the both of you!! See you both here in 5 minutes, don't be late!
Rory: (yells at Blair) Come Blair we need to get to Luke's diner, mom has a surprise for us!
Blair: I'm coming!! The fastest one there gets to buy the other a chocolate shake!
Rory: ugh!
LUKE'S DINER
Blair: I win!
Rory: well if I was on the soccer and lacrosse team I would win too!
Blair: you're just a sore loser!
Rory: (ignores what Blair just said and looks at Lorelai) so? What is it that you wanted both of us here for?
Lorelai: Sookie and I have a gift for both of you girls!!
Blair: I like gifts! Let me have it now!
Lorelai: Rory this is for you. And Blair this is for you.
( they both open it seeing a plaid skirt)
Rory: Are we in a Brittney Spears music video or something?
Lorelai and Sookie: ( laughs)
Lorelai: Rory you got into Chilton! And Blair got into Chilton Prep.!
Rory: are you kidding?! I can't believe all my hard work finally paid off. (Hugs her mom and Sookie)
Blair: (stares at her skirt doesn't know if she happy or sad) What about my friends here?
Lorelai: (sees the expressions on her youngest face) baby girl it's ok you can make new friends at your new school! And they have your favorite sport teams there.
Rory: hey, just to let you know you'll still be two buildings away from me if you want to hang out at lunch with me! I know I would love that as much as you!!
Blair: ok, I'll go but you still have to buy me my chocolate shake! (Say everything softly)
Lorelai: (shouts to Luke) can we get two coffees and one chocolate shake, over here please! We got into Chilton and Chilton prep!
Luke: well in that case how about something a little bit more healthy?
Blair: no silly we want our usual order!!!
Luke: (looks at Rory and Blair, they know that he can do or give anything them with one look, yes the puppy dog look)
Rory is getting a little old for this but she already got Blair to wrap Luke around her finger.
Blair: (looks all cute, big blue eyes and a big pouty lip)
Lorelai; come on you are really going to hurt this little girls heart?
Luke:Fine. Free chocolate shake and coffees for this big achievement!
Blair and Rory: yes!!! You're the best Luke!
Two days later
Lorelai: (eating dinner at Luke's diner with the girls) Hey! I made plans for us for Friday night!
Rory: (looks up from her book)what a old movie?
Blair: um my birthday party?
Lorelai and Rory both look at Blair.
Lorelai: Girl you just had your tenth birthday party two months ago when summer ended.
Blair's: (sounds bummed) I know but I...
Rory: you what?
Blair: nothing (looks down at her plate)
Lorelai: we are going to grandmas and grandpas house for dinner.
Rory and Blair look at each other in confusion
Rory: but it's not a holiday
Blair: what's holiday is even in September?
Lorelai: we are going just because and you're both going to like it.
Rory: I had plans
Lorelai: um.. with who? I'm sure Mrs. Kim would love to have Lane out on a Friday night!
Rory: well, I also been thinking of staying here for school instead!
Lorelai: you always wanted to go to Chilton!
Rory: no I always wanted to go to Harvard.
Lorelai: ok I already paid for your tuition so your going to Chilton tomorrow morning, end of discussion!
Rorys: no! I am staying here at stars hallow High school!!
Blair looks down and eats her food.
Lorelai: can we talk about this at home?
Rory: Fine.
Lorelai: (sets the money down) Blair come on let's go.
The Gilmore Girls: Bye Luke.
AT THE HOUSE
Lorelai see a boy waiting on the porch. He said hi and ask to see Rory. Lorelai responds we have family problems so just say your byes for the day.
Rory: I can't believe you!!
Lorelai: what? Is that the reason you want to give your life away?
Rory: no, I am still going to succeed.
I am not going to do it at Chilton.
Lorelai: well goodluck cause Chilton is your only shot at succeeding around here!
Rory: ugh! I have good grades and a perfect attendance record. But if it will make you happy I'll go there.
Lorelai: good! Now go to your room and sleep up tomorrow a big day! (now talking to Blair) Hey, you tried? Want to go to bed?
Blair: (Shakes her head yes)
Lorelai carries Blair upstairs to their room. Lorelai is in the middle of building a new bedroom for Blair but for now she is sleeping with Lorelai.
