Tough Crowd

Overview, since the last chapter there has been a lot to happen in Blair Gilmore's world and it all being about Rory. Rory's first kiss with Dean, Rory's school dance which Rory and mom got in a huge fight when she didn't come home after the dance was over. But now a couple weeks later it is Blair's first game at chilton prep.

Blair POV:
I can't believe my first game is already here! Almost everyone is coming to the game, which is a little embarrassing but it doesn't matter because for once one day will finally be about me. Not about Rory. Not about my mom and her new boyfriend, Max who is also Rory's teacher. No more mom and grandma fights. I think today is going to be the best day ever!!!

Blair: (shouts) Mom! Rory! Wake up I don't want to be late for my own lacrosse game.
Rory: (moans) ugh, why I am getting up this early at a Saturday for a sports game?
Blair: (annoyed) hey! Listen I supported and went to all your events for school clubs, which were at 5am! So stop whining and get ready!
Rory: (stops frozen for a second) ok, I'll be ready in five.
Blair: thank you! (Turns away) MOM!! I'll pull you out of that bed if your nit down in the next five minutes.
Rory and Blair hears a loud thump followed by a scream.
Lorelai: (in pain) I'm alright girls. I'll be down in a couple more minutes.
Blair: (stares at Lorelai) you cannot be serious, mom!
Lorelai: what?!
Blair: those are the opposing team colors!
Lorelai: I'm sorry this was the only thing I had.
Rory: here, mom where my chilton sweatshirt.
Blair: thank you Rory! Now let's go!

In the car ride to chilton/chilton prep athletic fields
Lorelai: So I talked to everyone, Sookie is coming and she baking a winners cake for you guys, Luke, grandma and grandpa are also coming to support you today.
Blair: how does sookie now we are going to win?
Rory: She probably baked two cakes, one to celebrate your first win and if you didn't win than a nice try you get then next time cake.
Blair: oh! (Hears a phone ringing) mom, your phone is ringing.
Rory: I'll answer it! Hi Grandma, how are you doing?
Emily: I'm good, but I am afraid that me and your grandfather can't make it to layout sister's game today an important and ergant business meeting just came up and we need to be there.
Rory: oh. Well I'll tell her that than.
Emily: can you also tell her to have the best first game ever and score tons of goals, since chilton prep is counting on their fourth back to back title championships.
Rory: ok, I'll tell her everything.
Emily: ok thank you Rory! Love you, bye. (Hangs up the phone)
Rory: (nervously) uh.. Blair... did you want grandma and grandpa to come today?
Blair: (excited) I wanted everyone to come to the game! Why do you ask?
Rory: (looks at Blair with disappointment) I um have some bad news... grandma and grandpa won't be able to come, but they wish you luck on the game that you scored a lot of goals to make chilton prep lacrosse team have four back to back championships.
Blair: well, at least you, mom, Luke and Sookie will all be there!
Lorelai: ok. We are here! Me and Rory will wait here til you game starts.
Blair: ok, but please be in the stand in an hour. ( Blair runs to catch up with others girls to start warmups.)

Coach: (blows his whistle three times to signal the girls to come over) listen ladies... this is our first game playing together as one. So let's first warmup together and I will give you each you positions ten minutes before the game. Let's huddles up and do our chant. One of our lovely captains will do us the honor.
Lily: I'll do it. WHAT DID WE COME HERE?
All: TO WIN!
Lily: WHY DID WE COME HERE?
All:  TO WIN!
Lily: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
All: WIN!
Lily: ON THREE CHILTON PREP LIONS! 1....2....3.....
All: LET'S WIN!!!!
The girls are doing their warmups they did last on that Saturday of Rory's second 16th birthday.
Jog to the end and back.
High knees and butt kicks.
Open and close the gate.
High kicks and toe touches.
And another jog to the end and back.
Haley: So you excited for the game, cause I cannot wait!
Blair: I been playing Lacrosse since I was born. I am born ready for this game! Are you nervous?
Haley: a little
Blair: well don't be, you're the captain so if your nervous then we are all.
Haley: Thanks! Do you want to go out with me and my dad after the game to get ice cream?
Blair: I would love to, if it's ok with my mom?
Haley: I wished I had a mom, you're so lucky. You someone to help you with boy problems and girl stuff when you get older.
Blair: I'm lucky! Haley, I'm sorry for your loss that you're mom passed away two years ago, but you got to know her and you have a dad! I wish I can say that, I don't know a thing about him. (Looks down at her stick) just consider that you are lucky to have a dad who here to support you!
Haley: hey let's change the subject, how pre-sat prep going?
Blair: awful, I can't believe chilton is making us do that? Want to study together, sometime and mix in some fun?
Haley: ( beaming with a smile) I would love to study with you.
Blair: (smiling) Yay!!!
Coach: (blows his whistle three times to signal the girls to come over) here are the positions:
Goal: Lizzie
Defense: Zoey, Jenny, and Maya(5th grade)
Midfield: Serena, Samatha, and Daisy(5th grade)
Offense: Lily-c, Tiffany, and Ellie-c
Now the girls I just called, go and play three on three.
(The ten girls all leave to practice some more)
Coach: ok the subs that will be going on in fifteen minutes are:
Olivia for Tiffany, Blair for Daisy and Riley for Maya.
Next round will be in minutes after them are:
Maria for Zoey and Alisha for Serena (both 5th grade) and Clara for Ellie.
The rest of you will sub in the second half.
