*Lightning POV*

The bright light shined through my white curtains, and I growl in disapproval. This is not how I wanted to start out my day. Serah said I had to find a job, and after a very long argument, some pouting, and puppy eyes, I agreed to look for one. But honestly, I just wanted to spend one more day in bed...
A loud banging occurs on my bedroom door, and I throw the bed sheets over my face. "Lightning, I know you're in there!" Serah shouted through the wooden door. Maybe if I stay like this, she'll just go away. But the door was kicked down, and I turn around to see Serah and her bad influence of a fiance, Snow Villiers. "You are paying for that," I tell the fool.
Snow shakes his head, then Serah starts to pull the covers off of me. "Ugh..." I moaned loudly. Then I realized what I was wearing, and yanked the covers back up before they got below my waist. "Lightning! I've let you sleep in for the last month, now get UP!" Serah whined.
"Not with that idiot in here," I said, pointing at Snow. He shrugged in denial, like if I were blaming him. But Serah pushed the fool out of the room, pulled out the extra door that I had hidden in the side, and locked it. "Why can't Snow be in here?" She pouted with her puppy eyes. "Why can't you find a better fiance?" I shot back.
Serah gave me an 'are you really serious?' look. This was about the time we both broke into a fit of laughter. Then, Serah asked once again, "Why can't Snow be in here?" I sighed, realizing there was no way to avoid it. "It's because of what I am wearing," I said, full truth.
"What are you wearing?"

"Do I really have to tell?"

"Yes, Claire Lightning Farron. You do."

"Brace yourself, this is gonna be long." Serah motioned me to wait while she grabbed the closet chair. Then she used hand mentioning to tell me to go on. I sighed, then started, "Well, last night, I decided to do the job search a little early. But it was very hot last night, and I started to get sweaty. After about two hours of job searching, I decided to hit the hay. Before flopping into bed, I took of the skirt I was wearing. All I'm wearing now is a bra, a dress shirt, and my underwear."
When I finished, Serah just stared at me. Was she okay? Did I say something? "Wait! You can't job search today!" She exclaimed. Vanille and Fang bought us all tickets to the fair!" Before I had time to question this, Serah opened the door, yelled, "Get dressed for fun!!" at me, then ran out of the house with Snow.
I sighed, then slipped out of bed. There was a slight tap, tap, tap on the door and I looked that way. Hope was there, older than usual. "How...?" I asked. His shoulders slouched, then I remembered that I was still in my underwear. "We'll talk later, just get out and close the door!" I commanded, and Hope did just as I said.
It was just a day to have fun, so I tried to go casual. Most of my clothes were for business, but about a month ago, Serah bought me some normal clothes to wear for comfort. I reached into the back of the my closet and pulled out a large brown box. Inside were the clothes Serah had bought me.
There was a pink long sleeve shirt with baggy sleeves, a black tank top, a pair of jean short shorts, white socks red stripes at the bottom that went a little above my knees, and a pair of average black converse.
These clothes were typical Serah. I let out a big sigh, then scurried into the clothes. But I was worried. Something might happen at the last minute, and I would have to fight. My hands extended for a backpack in the corner of the closet.
I stuffed my Blazefire Saber and Guardian Corps uniform in the black bag, zipped it up, then threw it over my shoulder. I let out one last sigh before heading over to Serah's house.

*Serah POV *

Snow gripped my hand tightly the entire time we walked home. It worried me that he was holding so hard. "Snow, is something bothering you?" I asked when we reached our house. He shook his head 'no', but I didn't believe him. "Fess up, hero," I ordered sternly.
"Well, I don't know how Lightning will react..." Snow told me, rubbing his head. "What do you mean?" I asked. Instead of talking, Snow replied by rubbing my stomach. Oh yeah, that...
Over the weekend, Snow and I found out that I was pregnant. The doctors said that if I wanted to anything fun like visit the fair, I needed to do it this week. When Vanille and Fang heard, they bought us all tickets to the fair. Lightning was the only one who didn't know about it, and I planned to tell her today. I wanted her to be happy.
I got a text message from Vanille that said:
From: Vanille
We're all going to the fair tonight so we see the fireworks. That'll be the perfect to tell
Lightning!
I grinned a little then texted Lightning to meet us there tonight. She replied with a simple 'Ok', and I felt my heart jump a mile. How would she react? Thoughts filled my head as I waited for night to come.
