*Serah POV*
I sat Lightning's head in my lap. She was asleep, or at least I think so. It didn't occur to me that I was crying until drops of water dropped from my face to Lightning's. Snow wrapped his arms around me and drew me close. "It's not fair... it's not fair..." I wailed. Honestly, I sounded like a child.*Lightning POV* (Location unknown)
I open my eyes, and I'm in a strange place. In front of me, I see a large throne that looks as if it is made from ice. Or maybe crystal. My memory is blurry, and all I remember is being a l'cie and Cocoon falling. There is also a blur of a place called Valhalla. "Finally awake, huh?" I hear Lumina's voice. My eyes lead to the crystal throne, and Lumina is sitting on it.
"What do you want?" I ask. She teleported near me, giggling like a school girl. "Where are we?" I question. Lumina giggles again, then says, "Inside you. Scary, huh?" I think about for a while. Inside me? What the hell?
"Well, God took some more memories of yours," Lumina giggles. "If you want them back, you have to do something ." I looked over where Lumina was, but she had transported back up to the throne. "What do I have to do?" I asked, sighing. Lumina giggled some more, then held up two fingers. "Choice one: become God's little savior again. Choice two: kill all of the humans with the mark of l'cie; including yourself. Make your pick."
"The answer is obvious; I'll be God's little savior again," I answered without hesitation. An evil grin spread across Lumina's face, she lifted up a finger. "In order to do that, we'll need a sacrifice of someone with the same blood as you." I finally realized what Lumina had done. It was Serah. "No!" I yelled, but it was too late. Lumina disappeared, and everything went black.

I wake with sudden shock. Serah was at my left, crying her eyes out. That made me smile. Lumina hadn't killed her. "Lightning... why are you wearing..." That was the last thing Serah said before her eyes flashed with flames, then collapsed back into Snow's chest.
"SERAH!" I screamed, reaching out to her. Snow felt her pulse, then shook his head. Serah had died once again. "No... no... no..." I cried. I suddenly became tired and blacked out. Then, while I was sleeping, I heard it.
The voice of Buhnivellza, his light touching my skin. It said, "Lightning, the time for you has come again. Be my savior!" I replied with a light nod, then reawoke. Snow was still cuddling with Serah's dead body, and I noticed that the guy with blue hair and red eyes is awake.
"Who are you?" I ask. "I should be asking the same thing," he shot at me. It seemed strange. Why is there so much hate in his tone? My eyes narrowed, then I stepped forward. "Who are you?" I asked once more.
He sighed, then said, "My name is Noctis Lucis Caelum. Now tell me; who are you?" My memories are still stirring around my head, but I remember my name. "I'm Lightning." Snow butted into our conversation and said, "Her last name is Farron. Her first? Anybody's guess."
Snow knows my first name, but he wasn't gonna tell. Noctis was staring in my eyes, like he saw something. My future, my past, maybe my soul. "I don't want to hurt you..." I said, stepping closer to Noctis. "But if you don't let me save your soul, I'll have to hurt you." A small grin came upon his face, but quickly faded.*Noctis POV*
I stared into Lightning's light blue eyes. It felt as if she was shooting daggers at me. "Why do you want my soul?" I curiously asked. But for some reason, it seemed obvious. "I'm God's savior," she explained. "I have to collect souls for him."
A light chuckle escaped my lips. Lightning is God's savior? This has to be some kind of joke. But Lightning edged her blade at my throat. "Give me your soul, and I'll be able to save you," she said, dead serious. I was about to give in when she suddenly dropped the sword.
"What am I doing?" She asked herself. "I have killed Buhnivellza before, I'll do it again." I stepped forward and looked at Lightning. "If you want my trust, you have to tell me about this world of yours," I ordered. Lightning tilted her head a little, then nodded. "I was gonna tell Cloud about here, but I never got the chance..." she whimpered.
The blonde guy picked up Serah's lifeless body and cradled it in his arms. When he left, paramedics came in for Cloud and rushed him to a hospital. Finally, when I was alone with Lightning, she sat on the bed. I sat on a chair beside the bed and waited. Then Lightning started to tell me her story.
Lightning told me of Cocoon, the fal'cie, the l'cie, about Valhalla, Noel traveling throughout time with Serah, Hope becoming old, then young, about playing as God's savior. She told me everything. "Soooo... this is the mark of the l'cie?" I asked, rubbing my neck. "Don't worry, I have one too," Lightning assured, then showed me her mark. "What of people wonder where the mark is?" I questioned.
Then I saw Lightning shooting daggers again, so I scooted back a little. "Where is this Hope boy?" I looked over at Lightning. She shook her head and said, "A mental hospital. Some kind of chaos traveled here to Valhalla." I shrugged at her reply. He would just get in my way.
I could tell Lightning was depressed. Her sister died in front of her eyes for the second time, so it makes sense. There probably isn't much I can do, but I feel bad. Hesitation hit me before I leaned towards her. What about Stella? If I gain feelings for Lightning, Stella will be pissed.
But then I thought about Lightning. She's been through way more than Stella. I start to lean in, and Lightning sways in confusion. My body moves closer in, and Lightning still sways. When my lips are only inches away from Lightning's, and she realizes what I'm doing. Instead of backing away or resisting, she leaned in and kissed me.
For a moment, the kiss was fresh and clean. But then it seemed like more. Lightning pulled me a little closer, and I curve my left hand behind her neck. Her fingers flow through my hair, and we might have just met, but it surprisingly felt right. I was about to move closer to Lightning when the door started to open.
Lightning quickly pushed me back into the chair. Some woman with spiky black hair and a little girl with orangish-pink hair walked in. "What do you want?" Lightning asked the girls. "Fang? Vanille?" The one with black hair (I'm guessing Fang) stepped forward. "Hope is fourteen again and doesn't remember what happened," she explained. "Vanille and I can't pay to get the boy out, so we need you."
"I don't have any money!" Lightning replied. "But I can get him out for free. Let's head over there right now. I'll do what I can."
A/N: So what do you guys think of Lightning x Noctis? I know that by the cover of the book, you would imagine Lightning x Cloud. But this anime is gonna have different Final Fantasy characters appearing. Tell me any ideas for characters you'd like to show up! Also tell me if you spot any mistakes. I never said this before, but any characters from Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts (if I use any), they belong to Square Enix. Not me. Got it memorized?
