*Snow POV* (at Lightning's
I looked over to the couch where Serah was sleeping.  She had waited the entire night for Lightning to return.  Damn it!!  I punch the wall and Serah turns over.  There was a large hole in the wall.
How can Lightning just disappear like that mad not return?!  I don't know where she went or why, but why did she leave after we were attacked?  It doesn't make sense.  Serah was worried sick about her.
Earlier, after the attack... *Serah POV*
A light shined in my eyes.  I lift my head to see that the firework show was still going on.  Nobody had notice that we were attacked by the hooded man.  Had time stopped when he appeared?  Snow grunts, and I crawl over to him.  My head banged with pain, but I had to wake Snow.
"Snow..." I weakly call out.  I reach him and start to shake him.  "SNOW!"  He grunted since more, then his eyes flutter open.  "What?  Morning already?" He wondered aloud.  Then he sees me and realizes what had happened.
"Where is he?" Snow asked and slammed his hands on the ground.  He jumped up to his feet and looked side to side.  "We need... to get the others..." I say in a raspy voice before collapsing.  "Serah!" Snow yelled and helped me up.  "I'm... fine..." I try say, but it's too quiet to hear.  "Wait... where's Lightning?"
I collapse to the ground once more.  I hear Snow shout again, but it was blurred.  The next thing I knew, the world had gone black.

*Snow POV* (Still after attack.)
Serah had blacked out on the ground, but she wanted everybody awake.  I help up Fang, and she helped me get everybody else up.  Afterwards, I scooped Serah into my arms and carries her to Lightning's house.  When she awakes, I go over to her and grab her hand.  "I have to wait... for Lightning," she whispers.
I let go of Serah's hand and lean on the wall.
Back to the present...
*Snow POV*
Serah continued to turn in her sleep.  My only choice was to wait for Lightning.  She's still missing... Serah is probably sick worried in her dream.  I walk over to Serah once more and rub her stomach.  "Don't worry, child," I whispered.  "Your aunt will come home soon.

*Cloud POV* (at Midgar)
Day had quickly turned into night, and the girl started to shiver.  "You cold?" I asked.  It seemed like a stupid question, but the girl just nodded in agreement.  I ripped off the sleeve that hung down from my right arm and wrapped it around her.  "T-thanks..." she shivered.
I shook my head and said, "No problem."  The girl's face turned bright red, but I couldn't tell if she was blushing or if it was the cold or maybe... both?  The streets lit up, and I took the girl's hand.  "I have a place we can stay," I told her.  She nodded in approval, then I lead the way.

*Lightning POV*
Cloud had taken my hand and started lead me somewhere.  The wind blew across my face, making me shiver even more.  Suddenly, Cloud stopped walking.  Before I could protest the sudden stop, he pulled me into his chest.  It was warm and cold at the same time.  I pushed him off before any other contact could happen.
"Why did you...?"  I started, but he held up his hand.  "I couldn't let you stay cold," he responded.  My cheeks felt hot, but the cold covered it up.  "Let's just continue," I commanded.  Man, this guy is annoying!
When we arrived at the place Cloud kept talking about, a girl with dark brown hair turned around to see us.  "Welcome to the... oh, Cloud, you're back."
"Uh, this is Tifa," Cloud introduced.  "Tifa, this is... I'm not sure.  She has amnesia."  Suddenly, a name appeared in my head.  "Lightning is my name," I recalled aloud.  "Lightning Farron."
"When did you-" he started, but I interrupted.  "It just came to me."  But then Cloud started again.  "What about your first name?"  I smirked.  "I'll never tell."
A/N: So that's chapter 2.  Lightning has some memories returning, but what next?  If you see any mistakes, please tell me!
