chapter 4 - no wrinkles

I groaned as I tried to sit up. My whole body was sore. It kept telling me to lay back down and sleep some mire, but my mind told me that I was going to miss something if I didn't get up now. I supported myself with my arms and slowly opened my eyes to reviel my room. Nothing looked different except for that the egg was gone and... there was a person sleeping on my couch. Who was that? I flung my feet over the side of the bed and ignored the aching feeling before slowly tip-toeing towards them.

I ficked his forehead, "What are you doing in my room?" I asked as he opened his eyes.

He smiled at me, "Jessica! I'm so glad you're awake! Kim will be happy to see that you're doing well."

Kim? Dragon egg is gone... Oh yea... hehe, I can't believe I forgot that. This is Logan then. "But before we go to see Kim, you have to look in the mirror..." He said morror slowly like I was going to freak out or something.

"Um, alright?" I said even slower. I walked over to my bathroom and flicked on the light. I stared right at what should have been my face. But it wasn't the face that I'm so used to seeing in the mirror everyday. It was different. There were... (duh, duh duuuuhhh!!!!)

"Hearts?" I asked allowed. "Why are their hearts all over my face?"

Logan smiled at my reflection, "That shows which Follower you are linked with." 

I turned to look at him. How do I know that he isn't lying to me. He lifted up his blonde hair and showed me his left temple that had a little heart shape on it. It was just like the ones on my face only smaller. "Wa..." I was baffled by this one thing. How can one little heart confuse me so much?

"Come and see," He grabbed my hand and led me out of the bathroom. He brought me to one of our many living rooms where Kim, Drew and Evan were. "She's awake!" Logan announced before dragging me over to a couch across from Kim and Drew. 

Kim smiled brightly at me, "Nice to see your finally awake!" She sat up so that she was on the edge of the chair and scanned my face, "I like your makings, they suit you."

"No one cares," Evan grumbled from his chair.

"Oh shut up!" Kim snapped at him.

I creased my brows in confusion, "What's wrong with him?"

"Oh he's just grumpy cause he can't age yet." She laughed slightly, "He's stuck at fifteen until we can find his dragon rider."

I looked at Evan with a smile, "You should be happy about that, you won't get wrinkly. During that time you can watch Kim get older, and saggier." I smiled at Kim.

She was frowning at me, "Not cool."

I shrugged, "But its true."

I looked down at the little dragon that was now my responsiblity, "Will it be hard to take care of him?" I asked Kim.

She shook her head, "Not at all, Kane was just like a little new born puppy. He'll just want attention and he will have lots of energy."

The little red dragon jumped from my arms and ran over to Kane before hopping onto his head. We all laughed as Kane tried to get him off of his head without hurting him. It was quite a sight. "So," Kim nudged me with her elbow. "What are you going to call him?"

I looked at him once more, "I'll call him Bullet." I smiled at her, "Because he can move really fast."

She looked at Evan, "You come up with crappy names for Dragons!"

He mumbled something under his breath that I couldn't hear and Logan smacked him. Obviously he heard what Evan had said.

Kim smiled back at me, "Bullet it is then!"
