chapter 3 - any pain?

"Bye! I'll see you both soon!" I waved to my friends as they left the ball room. It was getting close to the time for my dragon to hatch. I was super excited and super nervous all at once. I mean like what will he look like? What will he be like? Will I get scars like Kim? Will he hate me? No, he has got to like me. Kane and Kim bonded so well. (Haha, they are both K's... I just now realized that...)

"So where is he?" Kim clapped her hands together and smiled at me.

"Same place he was the last time you were here." I laughed as her facil expression dropped.

"Is it clean this time?"

"You wouldn't even recognize it."

I lead them towards where my room was, I was right about her not recognizing it. It wasn't all pink and frilly anymore. It was green and had flowers painted all over the walls. My dragon egg was sitting on the white pedisol in the middle of the room still with a glow to it. I haddn't touched it since I got it. I thought it should stay where it was and it should be pure when it hatches.

"Wow, you didn't move it did you?"

I laughed, "Haven't even touched it."

She looked at me with dissbelief, "I through mine into the closet several times." She paused for a moment, "No I wrapped a towel around it." Paused again, "Because I didn't like how it glowed!" Her hands flew up in frustration, "Jezz, give a girl a break. I had no idea at the time."

We all laughed at her, Kane must be able to talk to her. I think that's cool. She smiled at me, "Are you feeling any pain yet?"

"No," I said hesitantly.

She poked me. "Ow, what was that for?"

"Now are you feeling pain?"

"After you poked me, yes!"

Sh narrowed her eyes at me and poked me again, "You should feel pain all over your body."

"Maybe you should try poking her whole body," Evan said, he was obviosuly annoyed.

Kim's face lit up before she started to poke me in various places. "Stop it!" I yelled. God what is wrong with that girl? She is crazy. I let out a scream of pain as one last of her pokes left a burning feeling. "STOP!" I screached, "IT BURNS!"

"Yay! It's happening!" Kim said clapping her nads and jumping up and down.

My hands started to burn followed by my toes. It was rising sloly all through my legs and arms till it got to my core. I bit on my tounge to stop me from screaming as I fell onto the floor. Gos this is really painful. I wonder if this is what Kim felt like. I looked up at my egg and it was glowing like there was no tomorrow. It cracked  and a little red head with blue eyes popped out.

"Damn it! This is the stupidest thing ever!" Evan screamed as he stormed out of the room. What was his problem? I'm the one in pain here. Before I could think anything else, everything was black.
