She was made for murder. She was taught to ignore her feelings for anyone and anything except for the Diamonds. The Diamond's Pearls usually taught her everything she needed to know. Yellow Pearl taught her how to please the Diamonds, Blue Pearl taught her how to ignore her feelings, and White Pearl taught her how to track down her enemies and attack in stealth.
Today, White Pearl was going to teach her. She wished it was Blue Pearl instead, she is so much calmer.
"Evening, Ammolite," White Pearl said, bowing to her.
"Hello, Pearl," she said, sighing a bit. She wasn't in the mood for combat today.
"My Diamond has news for you," White Pearl said, fixing herself and standing up straight again. "She would like to tell you herself, you are to be in White Diamond's palanquin in ten minutes," the Pearl said, then turned to leave.
White Diamond wanted to see her? But why? Did she do something wrong? Was she finally going to be handed to another powerful gem to assassinate anyone that bothered them, like the other Ammolites?
"Wait! Are we not going to practice anymore?" Ammolite asked.
"You don't need to practice anymore," White Pearl said.
"Will she shatter me?"
"I am not allowed to give you the news, my Diamond wishes to do that herself," White Pearl said in a tone that she was starting to get annoyed. "Now fancy yourself, its White Diamond you're about to present yourself to."
And with a low scoff, the skinny gem left.
Ammolite took a deep breath. Why would White Diamond want to see such a lower life form like an Ammolite? Ammolites just had a quick job, shatter a gem. It was a quick job to get gems out of the way from their master's plan or they just annoyed them in general.
Ammolite looked out the window at her own reflection:
How could she fancy herself in time? It takes at least five minutes to get to the nearest launch pad, and some more time to get to Homeworld, which is most likely where White Diamond would be. It didn't seem like Ammolite was given enough time to 'fancy herself' to meet White Diamond.
But what she was wearing, it had to do. She was an assassin, not an elegant Morganite. Ammolite took a deep breath and held it in as she walked out of her space... which was just a little room with white crystal walls, since White Diamond was her Diamond.
Ammolite walked on top of other gems spaces, earning a few harsh shots from other gems. Ammolite ignored them all, she quickly forgot about them once she remembered where she was heading to.
The fifth sun was setting, making Homeworld's sky a dark pink, almost purple. You couldn't see one star in the sky due to how much light was on Homeworld.
A century ago, when Ammolit was made, you could see every star in the sky.
The launch pad is in sight, and Ammolite quickly runs to it. She starts it up, trying to remember everything Yellow Pearl taught her about emergency exits. Ammolite couldn't wait until warp pads were done being tested and put throughout Homeworld.
As she soared through space, White's Palanquin got bigger and bigger. She was glad she guessed right, where the palanquin would be. Where else would it possibly be? White Diamond hasn't left Homeworld for years.
The launch pad landed, and Ammolite helped herself out. She caught some Amethyst Soldier's attention, but they quickly looked away.
The palanquin was about forty feet away, she wouldn't dare park the launch pad too close to her Diamond's palanquin. She heard the beeping of the launch pad as the door started closing, Ammolite knew she's have trouble opening it.
Carefully and quietly, Ammolite stepped on the bright white steps, surprised the soldiers didn't question her. They must've knew about her arrival.
Ammolite stood there, staring at the large white drapes that hid White Diamond from her. What would her Diamond be like? Angry like Yellow, sad like Blue? Childish like Pink?
"Just go in there, bow, and say, 'my Diamond,'" an Amethyst soldier whispered.
Ammolite showed no interest in what the Quartz said, and gently pushed the curtains aside with the palm of her hands.
The first thing Ammolite saw was a giant empty chair. Her arms fell to her side. Was this a joke? Where was White Diamond? White Pearl said to go to White Diamond's palanquin, and this is hers, right?
"Good, you're here!" White Pearl said, walking out from behind the throne. She seemed off. She had a smile on her face, which White Pearl never smiled. Her arms were in a T pose, her elbows slightly bent. "My Diamond has more important things to attend to, so I will be telling you the news."
Ammolite nodded. "Um, okay," she felt her fear rise up again. Though seeing White Pearl instead of White Diamond made her loose interest, she was still eager to know the news.
"My Diamond has looked over your reports from the Pearls," White Pearl began. "And is glad to announce that she would like you to be her very own Ammolite!"
Ammolite's face immediately lit up. White Diamond wanted her? Finally, the training has paid off! "Y-yes!" Ammolite agreed, though she really didnt have a choice. "I would love to serve my Diamond... be by her side!"
This was the best day ever! Most likely, she would a new and bigger space. No longer would she have to live in a small space crowded with other useless gems. She could finally feel like she was worth something.
"My Diamond is glad to hear that!" White Pearl said. "Your new space is already set up for you. My Diamond would like you to head over there now. She has a mission for you. Follow me and I will guide you to your new space.
Finally! She was noticed, she would be a high class gem... possibly have a Pearl? Wouldn't that be great!
