Just as the last few people were let into the club, Tay sprinted to an alleyway at the side of the building, where TA's tour bus was parked and hid behind a stack of rubbish bins. Why am I hiding in among a pile of garbage? Tay thought, as the rancid stench hit her in the nostrils. Trying her hardest not to gag, Tay stepped away from the trash cans and found a doorway that she could lean on, 20 metres away from the club back door. From here she could see everyone that came in and out but would not be noticed unless somebody was looking for her.
Tay sighed and lowered herself slightly against the door, so she was squatting with the rusty door supporting her back. If anybody was to open the door at this point, Tay would be screwed but she didn't care. Taking her phone out of her pocket, she sent a quick text to Jordan;
Found a nice doorway, waitin 4 Jenna. I feel like a ninja xox
She got a reply a few seconds later;
Good luck, Dont fuck this up xxTay put her phone back in her pocket and stood back up, too nervous to relax, fixated on the club door.
After half an hour later, Tay was starting to get cold and the streets were darkening, making the street lights go on, casting strange gloomy silhouettes all over the small alley. The place was eerily quiet apart from the muffled sound of music coming from the club. Any time Tay did a little cough or her phone went off, the sound would resonate up and down the alleyway, making her feel creeped out and un settled. Even though she loved watching scary movies and going into haunted houses, this was a completely different kind of creepy. The type of creepy Tay did not enjoy.
What the fuck are they doing? Tay thought to herself as she wrapped her arms around herself to try and keep the cold from nipping at her skin. Over the course of the evening, not a single band member or stage crew came out and Tay was starting to grow increasingly nervous about her theory.
There was always a possibility that the band members were already set up and ready to go and would not need to go into their tour bus until after the show. If this was the case, then Tay had made a major miscalculation. She had to be on a flight to New York by 11PM so if she could not catch Jenna at some point within the next hour, then she would have to return back to the airport with Jordan and it would be a wasted trip. Tay felt anxiety rise up inside her at the thought of having to return back to New York without atleast seeing her.
After 30 more minutes of shivering in the freezing cold, Tay was finally starting to accept the fact that NOBODY was gonna be coming in or out of that building. Fighting down tears of disapointment and sadness, she slowly turned around and started walking back towards the gloomy cafe, where Jordan would be sitting. Staying still for such a long time in the piercing cold wind had had an impact on Tay's ability to walk. She moved slowly and akwardly, her muscles numb with cold and unwilling to obey her. As she slowly passed the club door, Tay finally let the tears fall, seeing as Jordan would not notice because her face was already pink from the wind blowing against her.
She could always call or text Jenna, telling her she was outside of the club but Jenna probably wouldn't even reply or just tell her to piss off. The reminder of her freinds hatrid towards her felt like a punch in the stomach. Tay doubled over, no longer able to walk with the overbearing weight of guilt and sorrow that she had been dragging behind her. She let out a sound that was half- sob and half- gasp as she let her walls crumble down around her. Tay could no longer hold back the feelings she had contained so long about Jenna. Why did she have to carry the burden of a hopeless love? Everything was so fucked up! Why can't you get over her you fucking useless moron!?, screamed a voice in Tay's head, Why can't you just fucking forget about her and move on with your life! screamed the voices.
Because I love her, Thought Tay, and I want her to love me, but she fucking hates me, Tay added bitterly.
' Hey, are you Ok there?' a voice asked from behind of Tay, giving her a tap on the shoulder.
Tay jumped to her feet, startled by the stranger standing behind her. She was facing away from the silhouette as she quickly wiped her face and cleared her throat.
' Yeah, um... I'm fine,' mumbled Tay, her voice still raw from the mental breakdown she had only a few seconds ago. She prayed to god the stranger hadn't seen any of it. Turning to see who the person was, Tay felt her words catch in her throat.
As their eyes met, the 'stranger' gave a gasp of and stepped back a few steps.
' Tay!', gasped Jenna, her blue eyes widening with shock, ' What the hell are you doing here!?'
