Ant's POV

"Anthhhhoniiieee!!!" That cry hadn't been unexpected.

The lights went out with a power cut and I would have been concerned if there wasn't some kind of panic or complaining. I sighed and pulled my achy body off my desk chair where I'd been trying to study.

"I'm coming Em!" I yelled back. My body was aching from the run I went on before I picked up the girls, I thought that maybe I could get some training done, manage my time better but now I was just too tired to do anything. I groaned as I pulled on a hoodie, grabbed a torch from my draw and exited my room to locate my sisters. It wasn't hard to find them because you could have heard Emma from a mile away.

"Whherrreee are youuuu! 'M Lost." I chuckled lightly at how over dramatic she was when I found her sat on her bed with Sarha, the small set of barbie dolls Mrs Robinson had brought them for Christmas - I brushed off the uneasy feeling I got in my stomach. "Ahhhh who's there!!!"

I rolled my eyes and shone the torch so they could see me. I was glad they weren't freaking out, maybe just a little shaken up, but I suppose there was a little bit of light from the stormy late afternoon and the room wasn't pitch black. Emma ran to me and jumped into my arms while Sarha followed quickly and attached herself to my leg.

"It's okay Kidda's, it's just a power cut. The lights will come back on soon." I adjusted Emma in my arms and walked them out to the sofa and handed Sarha a spare torch after she'd sat down. "Be good girls and stay there for me ay? I'm gonna go see if It's a blown fuse."

Emma whimpered and held onto me tightly, I sighed and kissed her hair gently before gently trying to peel her off, "it's okay Em, I'll be right back alright." She still didn't let go but I couldn't take her out in the cold with me. "Sarha will you take your sister for me?" Sarha reached up and tugged Emma into her arms although it took quite a lot of effort to pry her away from my neck. I gave them both a soft kiss before shucking on my coat and sliding on a pair of sandals.

We were on the second floor of a small group of apartment blocks, my landlord lived below us and I had no doubt we'd cross paths trying to sort out the loss of electricity. I made it onto the ground floor and stepped out into the storm. The winds were Gail force, almost knocking me backward. At that point I was glad I hadn't brought Emma, the little lass would have been blown away. The rain hammered down onto my exposed skin making me shiver and wrap my arms around my body tightly to keep in the little warmth I had left. I pushed through the storm to locate the fuse box, it was hard to hold the torch in my teeth as they clattered with the cold.

My hair whipped in all directions, I held it back as the wind hit me in full force from behind, my hands shaking as they checked all the fuses before I cursed and hurried back inside out of the chaos.

"Anthony?! what in gods name were you doing out there?!" Emily, my landlords wife asked, poking her head out the door while her husband stepped out behind her.

"Checking the fuses Ma'am, but the power must be out across the grid."

"Damn really?" Michael, my landlord groaned, "was just going out to check the box, did you check the back up aswell?"
