So I really wasn't happy with the last chapter I wrote and tbh I'm not happy with this one either sorry 🥺

But I've written a Prince Trust chapter and I'm please with that so once it's edited hopefully you'll all enjoy it ☺️

Dec's POV

I actually felt good in class, scribbling down some biology notes with Ant biting his pen next to me, listening to the teacher as she explained the process of osmosis. He was really cute when he was trying to concentrate.

"What's the membrane like again?" Ant whispered and I looked up.

"Semipermeable."

"Right." He deadpanned frowning and looking at his sheet, "And what does that mean?"

"Um... it lets some liquids through but not others." I replied, with a smile and he scratched his head before putting pen to paper and mumbling a, "Thanks" back.

"No problem."

"So for this assignment I'd like you to work in pairs, you will each have a topic from this term and I would like you to perform a presentation for the class. Best presentation gets a prize." Mrs Hathaway smiled while handing out bits of paper. "On this sheet is the topic you will be doing."

"Wanna work with me?" Ant asked and I grinned, nodding quickly.

"There you go boys." The teacher smiled placing the slip of paper in front of us and moving to the next table. I picked it up and my stomach dropped.

"Um... Anth? C-can we swap with someone?"

"Why, what is it?"

"Um... the topic... i-its nerves... I don't really want to do that."

"Yeah sure, no worries, I'll ask ms." He took the paper and wandered up to Mrs Hathaway, I didn't want to watch, my cheeks flushing from embarrassment, it was times like these i was really glad Anth was with me. He never judged or questioned anything.

He wandered back over and sat in his seat heavily. "So she has no other topics spare but we can swap if we want to... I can ask the guys next to us if you want?"

"Uh... n-no... that's David, Stephens partner... I don't want to ask them... forget it, it's okay we can do nerves it's fine."

"You sure? I'm sure I can ask someone...." he started looking round but I grabbed his arm.

"No please don't ask anyone I'm okay." I panicked, looking at the taller boy with pleading eyes and he nodded, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and pulling me in for a quick brotherly hug. I blushed and ducked my head, any contact in public made my heart flutter and beat faster in my chest.

"Okay no problem." We pulled apart and Ant closed his book, "You wanna get going to the car park?"

I checked my watch and furrowed my brow in confusion, "We still have like 10 minutes?" My eyes flickered up and I caught the cheeky glint in Ants eyes.

"Well... I'm sure we can fill 10 minutes..." I blushed again and nodded my head, letting Ant pack away my stuff and sling my bag over his shoulder.

We made it out of class, I gave Mrs Hathaway my winning smile and she smiled kindly back at us both.

"You know she used to despise me." Ant chuckled as we made our way along the path towards the football field.

"I wander what changed her mind." I pondered, as we stopped at our own little secret spot in a corner hidden from view.
