Robert E.O. Speedwagon

"Oh, h-hey y/n! I've been meaning to ask you something.."

You rushed to get ready in your spare bedroom in the Joestar estate, throwing on an outfit of your liking with some nice shoes.

You brushed through your hair and quickly put on some chapstick, afterwards hurrying out of the room.

Just as you made it downstairs, you rammed face first into something hard and warm. Stumbling back, you looked up and saw it was Jonathan.

"What's with the rush, n/n?"

"Oh um.. Robert asked me to meet him at the park for a picnic, said he has to tell me something. As you can see I forgot the time and am trying not to be late, bye Jojo!"

You ran out of the mansion as Jonathan watched you leave. He smiled, knowing what Speedwagon has in store for you.

Finally getting to the park you saw him waiting in the field under a tree, pacing back and forth. You walked up to him, a shy smile on your lips.

"Robert..?"

He jumped and looked at you, relief spreading throughout his features.

"Oh thank the heavens, I thought you might've turned me down. Thank you for coming y/n."

"Aw, come here cutie."

You pulled him into a nice hug. Speedwagon smiled and hugged you back, ruffling your hair when you pulled away.

"So n/n, I found this little spot a little ways into the woods right over there that I thought would be perfect for our little date- erm, hangout! I meant hangout, haha my bad.. anyways let's go!"

You just giggled at his flustered state even though you were blushing too, as he gently pulled you along with him to the spot you'd be having your little picnic.

Carefully weaving through the trees, you both finally ended up in a clearing, and as you looked around, you were astonished.

There was a f/c blanket spread out with a basket that seemed to be full of snacks on top of it, the surrounding ground lit with candles. A little path made of flower petals seemed to lead right to the blanket, making the scene somehow more romantic.

Sitting down on the blanket, you looked over to him.

"Robert, it's beautiful.."

He smiled over at you, whispering, "Not as beautiful as you," to himself.

Fortunately you heard him and felt your cheeks get warm, staring at him for a moment before shaking it off.

You grabbed some items from the basket and snacked on them while you and Speedwagon chatted to your hearts' delight until all the food was gone.

A few hours later it started getting darker out and fireflies came. They danced in the sky, illuminating the whole area around you along with the dimming candles.

You got up, wonder spreading over your face as your stared at the beautiful scenery the evening was bringing.

Speedwagon got up too and came you your side, taking one of your hands in his.

You looked at him with a smile, then looked back to the sky where the fireflies started blending in with stars that started to come out.

"Would you care to have this dance, y/n?"

Speedwagon gently put his hands on your waist with a smile, his blonde locks swaying gently in the cool breeze that passed by.

"Why I would love to, Robert."

You put your hands on his shoulders, the two of you starting to dance to the natural music from insects and animals around you.

Gazing into one another's eyes, it felt as if everything else seemed to fade away like you were in your own little world.

"Hey y/n?"

"Yes, Robert?"

His grip on your waist seemed to get tighter for a moment.

"Well, remember when I asked you to join me today, and I said I had something to tell you?"

You played with some of his baby hairs on his neck.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"What I want to say is.."

He sighs for a moment before taking his hands off your hips and cups your face.

"What I want to say is, I like you, love you, adore you! All of those things and more. I've been trying to hide these feelings for forever and gave subtle hints with all my flirting but I can't hide it anymore. I love you y/n."

You stared in shock at his confession, warmth spreading like a wildfire along your face even to your ears.

"Robert.. I-I.."

"It's okay if you don't feel the same, I'd understand plenty n/n. I just thought, maybe since I'm not big on relationships maybe you could be my special one, y'know?"

He looks down with a sad smile, chuckling to himself.

"Hell, as long as we're still friends after this I'd be fine with it, I just had to get that off my chest."

"Wait Robert, you interrupted before I could finish what I was saying, silly. I.. I love you too, honestly I've loved you since we first met."

He looked back you you surprised but excited.

"You mean that..?"

"Of course I do big guy, I've never lied to you about anything and don't plan on it."

Speedwagon grinned as he wiped away a stray tear that he claimed as a "happy tear".

He picked you up and spun you around, the both of you laughing as you enjoyed each other's presence.

When he set you down, he caressed your cheek before pressing a small kiss to your lips to seal the deal.

You kissed back before he pulled away, both of you blushing messes.

"Well, I guess we should head back to Jonathan's place now, it's pretty dark out."

"Damn, we were out here for a long time, but it was worth every second with you."

You smiled at him and he chuckled, ruffling your hair.

Gathering the blanket and basket, you and Speedwagon walked back hand-in-hand, excited for what the future will bring.

Extended ending:

Arriving back home, Speedwagon held the door open for you like the gentleman he is. You giggled and thanked him, stepping inside with him right behind.

Jonathan came up to you both, a grin on his face.

"Did you tell her?"

"Yeah, of course."

If possible, Jonathan's grin got wider and he fanboyed loudly.

"I'm going to be an uncle!" You watched as he ran off to who knows where, smiling to yourself.

Speedwagon snaked his arms around your waist and nuzzled into your shoulder. He stayed there for a few moments for pulling away.

"Get some sleep tonight, I'm going to come see you again tomorrow." He told you with a sheepish smile.

You giggled and nodded, kissing his cheek and waving as he left.

You went back to your room and changed into some night clothes, flopping onto your bed. Thoughts of him raced through your head as the tiredness consumed you.

You couldn't wait to see him again.
