Raven was writing on her laptop as Loki was chatting away about his life on Asgard. They managed to come to an agreement that if he talked about his life, she would tell him 1 fact about herself. Loki didn't like their agreement much. He'd like to know more about Raven, but he chose not to argue about their agreement any further.
"And after my brother picked me up, I turned back to my regular form and shouted 'ITS ME!!' Then I stabbed him. He was 8 years old at the time-- Rachel, are you listening?" Loki had stopped casually throwing the paperweight in the air, sitting up and looking at Raven.
"Yes, yes, I'm listening. Thor likes snakes, and you pranked him by turning into one, and after he picked you up, you shouted at him, followed by a stab," She told him, not looking up from her laptop.
 Raven glanced up to see that Loki was now standing in front of her. Jolting, she looks at the cameras. She relaxed a bit when she realized that he was still in his glass prison.
"You're very good at illusions," she told him, sounding curious about his ability.
"And you're very good at summing up good stories. What are you doing on the Midgardian contraption?"
"I'm writing an essay."
"Even midgardians do essays? Interesting. What are you writing about?"
Loki's illusion walked behind her to see what she was doing.
"Right now, Greek mythology."
"So you're in school?"
" 'Essay' was the wrong word to use. I'm writing an article that I'll probably never post online."
Loki's arms wrapped around her, seeming to lose interest in what she had just told him. "Tell me a fact about you now." He softly whispers in her ear.
Raven teleported away from his illusion, startled by his soft and rather erotic voice. The illusion disappeared and he looked at her surprised. "You know magic?" He asked, genuinely interested. "Ya, I know magic. There's your fact for the day." She told him, trying to calm her heart rate. Is my face red? It feels hot in here now.
Loki frowned. "That doesn't count."
 "Why not?" Raven asked, an eyebrow raised.
"Because you didn't exactly tell me, you accidentally showed me. Our agreement states that you would tell me a fact about you."
Raven sighed, figuring there was no point in arguing. "Fine. Originally, you were right, I'm not completely human. I'm half-human. There's your fact."
"What's your other half?" He asked, curiously.
"Trust me, you don't want to know." Raven walked back to the desk, saved her work, and closed her laptop.
"Dearest, I am a GOD. What could make you worse? I doubt you're a demi-god."
"Yup, not a demi-god."
"Then what's your other half? Did your mother marry some unknown creature? Or did your father fall in love with a powerful maiden?"
"Loki, I already gave you the fun fact of the day. And as for my parents? I... I don't know... Now that I think about it." Raven scratched my head wondering. Did my mom fall for him?
Loki watched her curiously, wondering why her face looked sad now. "Do you not know your parents?" He inquired
"My mom, she uh... She passed away when I was 9..."
"I'm sorry to hear that. It must've been difficult losing her so young."
"It's fine. I barely knew her..." She trailed off, not wanting to talk more about it. The thoughts of her mom still brought up some old hurt. Loki seemed to catch on, he sat back down on his bed, making a long sigh. "It's pretty late darling. You should get some rest. Especially since you barely sleep as it is."
Raven looked at Loki, surprised that he knew she hadn't been sleeping very well lately. How did he know that? "What do you mean?" She asked, trying to forget what the subject was before.
"Never mind, my dear. Get some sleep."
Raven stared at him for a moment, contemplating on pressing on what he may know. Raven decided against it, grabbing her laptop. "Alright. Good night, Loki." She told him, walking to her quarters. "Good night, my dear. Sleep well."
"Ya... You too."
~~~~~~~~~About 2:30AM~~~~~~~~~~~
"Raven..."
"Raven."
"Raven!"
"Raven!!"
"RAVEN!!!!!!!"
Raven sat up straight in her bed, gasping for air. She looks around, almost forgetting where she was. Think. This is the Avengers headquarters. I'm keeping watch on Loki, and in exchange for my protection. Okay. I'm okay. I'm fine. I'm safe. He can't get me here. Right?
"Rachel?"
Raven jolted, realizing that it was just Loki in the glass prison. Shaking nervously, she gets out of bed to go see him.
"Ya?" Raven asked, her voice shaky. I need to stay calm.
"Are you alright? I heard you yelp." He asked, looking concerned.
Raven took a shaky deep breath, still trying to settle her nerves. "Ya. Uhm.. ya, ya I'm okay. Just a, uh... just a bad dream, I guess." She told him, trying to shake off the feeling.
"What was it about? If you don't mind me asking."
"M-my father..." Raven stuttered, feeling her heartbeat rise again. I can see Loki. I can see the control panel. I can see the glass chamber...
"Did he ever hurt you?" He asked.
Raven slightly shook her head. "I... No, not that I can remember. I'm not sure if I ever met him."
"I see. You seem terrified of him."
Raven slightly nodded. "I never heard anything good about him, if I'm being honest."
"May I ask something?" He implored, looking concerned. "Uhm, ya, sure. What's up?" Raven asked, slightly gulping.
"In the few months we've had together, I've noticed something that is rather off-putting. Perhaps you can clarify for me?"
"I can try to. What's bothering you?"
"Sometimes I hear a voice in your room. Calling for someone named 'Raven'. This evening was even more demanding than the last few times. Is that some sound your phone makes? Is there something else happening?"
Raven stared at Loki, stunned that he'd been able to hear Him this whole time. Loki watched Raven turn pale, and she started feeling light-headed.
"My dear? Rachel? Rachel, what's wrong?! RACHEL!!!"
Raven's fake name was the last thing she heard before everything went dark. After what felt like an eternity, she heard soft voices around her. She can barely distinguish the voices.  Natasha? Who else is here? Who are these people?
"What happened?"
"I don't know, I asked her if she knew about a male voice speaking from her room. Then she became pale and fainted! I don't know what could have caused her to faint! If I knew, I would tell you, honestly."
"Hang in there Rachel, I got you."
"Loki, what voice? What are you talking about?"
"There's a male voice that comes from her quarters every so often. Always calling for someone named Raven. I'm sorry, but I don't know anything else."
"Rachel? Rachel, come back to us. Rachel, wake up. Come on Rachel, everything is okay."
