My stomach lets out a long slow growl that sounds like I'm farting for about 6 seconds straight.

All heads whips in my direction and I go ketchup red.

"Did you just fart?" Linda asks beside me. Her face held a mixture of disgust and horror as she scrunches up her face.

"Skunk alert!" someone calls out and everyone booms in laughter.
What a bunch of assholes.

I bow my head down in shame and humiliation, soaking in laughter.

This is not fair. They knew it was my stomach yet they use me as a standing joke.

I stare at the hands of the ticking clock whilst drumming my fingers on my table and tapping my foot impatiently under the table.

I quickly shove my books into my backpack and swing it on shoulder while pushing my chair back abruptly to head for the hills out of here.
It was getting way to uncomfortable to stay in that class, soaking in cruel laughter.

I spot kayla already walking out of class with her group of friends... Let me rephrase that.

At this point, i gathered the attention of every single soul along the hallway except for Kayla who does not turn around.

I put on some speed and manage to place my hand on her shoulder to stop her.

I wonder why everyone is staring at me like that.
I am breathless and my face is probably red. My hair must be resembling medusa right now. So don't look at me people or else I'll turn you to stone.

"What are you doing? Go away, you're embarrassing me. " she whispers through gritted teeth and she sweeps my hand away from her shoulder.

"I... I.. WHAT???" I stutter, looking at her in astonishment.
