Eunji

"So, tell me about your date," Sunmi giggled as she fishtailed Eunji's hair.

"I feel like we're in high school, braiding each other's hair and gossiping about guys," Eunji rolled her eyes.

"That's irrelevant," Sunmi tugged at Eunji's hair lightly, "now, spill."

"Well, how much did Chanyeol tell you?" Eunji asked.

"Just that a playboy came by your shop and was reduced to a blubbering mess by your charm and you promised to go on a date with him if he asked," Sunmi said simply.

"Well, your boyfriend basically gave you the whole background," Eunji sighed, handing Sunmi her hairtie when she tugged impatiently at her braid, "but I mean the date was nice."

"Nice?" Sunmi swung the finished braid over Eunji's shoulder so it whipped her in the face.

"Hey!" Eunji turned to look at her friend, calling out in protest.

"The way Chanyeol described this guy, he's, like, top notch gorgeous," Sunmi rolled her eyes, "you can't go on a date with a drop dead gorgeous man and tell me the date was just 'nice' you loser!"

"I feel like you should be a little concerned with how interested your boyfriend is in Sehun," Eunji laughed.

"Oh, you and I both know Chanyeol is straighter than a meter stick," Sunmi rolled her eyes, "so his name is Sehun?"

"Yeah," Eunji sighed in resignation, Sunmi wasn't going to leave her alone until she described everything in vivid detail, "his name is Oh Sehun and he works as a web designer. He just moved into the area, his favorite food is sushi, and he likes action movies."

"That sure is detailed," Sunmi noted.

"He probably memorized a bunch of conversation starters since he was nervous, and I just asked them back in return to be polite," Eunji said as she motioned for Sunmi to take her place.

"But what was he like? Was he weird? Did he do anything strange?" Sunmi scooted on her bed as she spoke, moving so Eunji could braid her hair.

"Well, he did ask what love felt like," Eunji admitted.

"What?"

"Hey, keep your head still," Eunji complained.

"Sorry," Sunmi sat still, "but did he seriously ask that? That's kinda strange, don't you think?"

"I mean, yeah, I was taken off guard," Eunji began, "but I think he was just genuinely curious. He did say that he didn't know what love was. He said he couldn't give love a chance if he didn't know what it was. I don't know what changed in him, but he seemed more honest on our date."

"Maybe before your date he had a sleepover with his friend and they braided each other's hair and gossiped about girls," Sunmi joked.

"Shut up," Eunji laughed.

"Do you think you'll go on another date?" Sunmi asked, serious this time.

"Y'know, I really went into the date telling myself that this was a one time thing I was doing due to a promise," Eunji admitted, "but after talking to him, seeing under that protective layer of suave and sexy, I want to spend a lot of time with him. I want to watch movies with him and hold his hand and listen to his darkest fears. That night, when he spoke to me, I saw a different side of him. I don't know if I love him, but I do know that I like him. It'd certainly be difficult given that he's a playboy and he's never loved before, but I feel like I can be the one to show him love."

"That's a lot of work, E," Sunmi said softly, "I don't want you to get serious with this guy just because you want to show him how to love the world like you do."

"I thought about that," Eunji sighed and tied off Sunmi's braid.

"And?" Sunmi turned to look at her friend, running a hand over her hair.

"I realized that's not why I want to see more of him." Eunji said. "I like the way he makes me feel, S."

"The way he makes you feel?" She cocked her head to the side.

"He makes me feel like I'm having an adventure," Eunji explained, "I think he's the adventure I've been looking for in life."

"Well, I sure hope he is," Sunmi said as the door to her apartment opened.

"I'm back and I come bearing all the best snacks!" Chanyeol shouted, brandishing a plastic bag filled with convenience store goodies.

"Hey, babe," Sunmi grinned as Chanyeol came over and gave her a small kiss.

"Mine," Eunji called out and snatched the bag from Chanyeol.

"So," Chanyeol climbed onto Sunmi's bed to join the girls sitting cross-legged, "what are you two girly-girls gossiping about."

"Eunji's date," Sunmi wiggled her eyebrows at her boyfriend.

"Not a single chocolate, I am disappointed, Chanyeol," Eunji shook her head, ignoring Sunmi as she rummaged through the snacks.

"What's the verdict on playboy?" Chanyeol asked with excitement. "Did you kiss? Did he try to take you home? Are you gonna see him again?"

"I like him. I kissed him on the cheek. He didn't try anything, he took me straight home after dinner. And I plan on it," Eunji answered his questions in order.

"I'm glad he didn't try anything," Chanyeol nodded as he opened a bag of chips, "I was worried he'd try to just take you on this one date and get you to bed."

"He wasn't like that with me," Eunji shook her head.

"So is there a second date in the future?" Chanyeol raised an eyebrow before shoving a chip in his mouth.

"We'll see..."
