Chapter Six:

Part of the puzzle

-...-

A white void was what he saw, ghostly bodies standing around. But he couldn't tell who they were. He heard their voices though. They were the voices. And they were looking at him.

“Who is he?”

“Another experiment. He'll be dead soon.”

“So sad.”

“What? Tell me you didn't expect anything else?”

One voice pushed through the crowd. It was the newcomer from before. The one still filled with more questions then he could chew. Not saying the others didn't have questions, they were just giving up.

“Oh no.” It spoke in a hoarse tone.

“What?” Some turned to him.

“GOD NO!” It screamed, beginning to cry.

“What's your problem?”

“You know him, don't you?”

The crying voice fell to it's knees. It was clear what the answer to that was. One or two of the other voices walked over to comfort the voice, while most others turned away.

“There is nothing we can do.” One sighed to the crying one. This one's ghostly figure portrayed the image of a young man whom had black dreads, hair long past his ears. He had a gray jacket with a symbol on the back.

“But think of it this way.” Said the other. “You'll be able to see him again. Neither of you will be alone.” This one's ghostly figure showed a man with yellow hair brushed upwards, and a black and yellow t-shirt with a symbol on the front.

Their words didn't help, so the two tried again.

“My name's Gizzy.” One cleared his throat. “Welcome to the afterlife. Or, um, our afterlife.”

“My name's Brice.” The other went on. “We'll help you around the void. What's our's is your's now.”

“May I ask..” Gizzy then began. “I never did get your name.”

The crying one had tried to calm himself down. These people were trying to help him. He felt bad that it was really doing no use at all. So he tried to take a deep breath and maybe answer.

“B-Bb-ash-ur.” He coughed a bit. “Bashur G-Green.”
