Recap:

(Rosy's POV)

I smile at Jack, waiting a moment as I watch him walk down the hallway and into his room back to Mandy, his mate, before going back into mine and Ashton's room.

It's dark in the room, because it's around one or two in the morning. I wonder why Jack was up so late. Probably couldn't sleep. Had too much on his mind.

As soon as the door clicks shut behind me and I turn to the darkness of the room, I sense movement in front of me. A moment later I am pinned up against the door, my hands up by my head. I feel someone's hot breath on my neck, before a pair of soft lips kisses the soft spot behind my ear.

My knees start wobbling as a breathy sigh of content escapes my lips.

Ashton smiles against my throat. "And just so you know, you're perfect too."

(Ashton's POV)

An insane blush spreads across my little mate's face, and even in the near pitch black I can see it. It's so damn adorable. Scarlet is soon becoming my favourite colour on her. But then again, I like everything on her. She's beautiful. It's as simple as that.

I let go of Rosy's hands that I had pinned up by her head and slip my arms around her waist. She's not as skinny as she was when she first came here, and I'm glad about that. In my opinion she might need a little more weight on her, but that may be my wolf thinking she needs to be healthy.

I move my hands down to the backs of Rosy's thighs and lift her legs up around my waist. She squeals, making me chuckle quietly, but then she buries her head in the crook of my neck, making me sigh in content.

I carry Rosy back to our bed, loving that I can call it that. Our bed. Ours. I pull the covers back and lay Rosy down gently. For a moment I just gaze at her while she stares at me. Her baby blue eyes seem brighter than they usually are. Her very long, honey blonde hair is all messy from a restful sleep, making her look more amazing than ever, in my eyes. A deep red blush makes its way across her cheeks, settling and standing out.

A slow grin curls up my lips as I gaze down at her.

Rosy gives me one of her half nervous smiles, her arms reaching out for me in the dark.

Without hesitation I go straight to her, curling her into my arms against my bare chest again. She puts her arms around my torso, avoiding the bandage. I move my hand to unwrap the uncomfortable thing, missing the feel of her body against mine without any barriers. Well, besides all of her clothes of course.

I toss the used bandage on the floor before hugging Rosy closer again. For a moment she hesitates, staring down at the faint scars on my side. I watch her as she reaches out and traces the fading marks, making me shiver as her fingers brush over the sensitive skin.

"I felt this." Her soft voice whispers in the dark.

I stare at her, shocked. "Is that why you screamed?" I ask.

She nods. "It was painful. It hurt too much. I started crying." She states quietly, running her fingers over the marks on my side.

I reach towards her and lift the singlet up over her side. There isn't any mark there, so I let her top fall back down. I pull her closer and bury my head in her silky soft hair. Her soft, sweet scent invades my senses and I greedily breathe it in.

"I'm sorry." I say, upset. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I was supposed to be protecting you."

She shakes her head a little. "You were." She says softly.
