(Rosy's POV)

Clinging to Ashton, I watch him as he sleeps soundly. My mind wanders back to my nightmare.

I had seen my parents getting killed again. It's honestly quite terrifying.

Ashton just shook his head at my question, mumbling something about waiting until the morning. Its morning now, but he looks so happy asleep... I don't think I'll ask him about my parents again. The pained, guilty look he tried to hide from me made my heart ache.

I don't want someone I really like to feel like that.

Rolling over so that my back faces Ashton, I rest my head under my hand. I jump a little when Ashton reaches out and pulls himself up against my back. In his sleep, he nuzzles his face against the back of my neck and wraps his arm around my waist.

Sparks erupt all around my body. I sigh in content.

I study the picture on Ashton's bedside table. I've never really looked at it before; I always slept on the other side of the bed.

It's a picture of Ashton and his family. I recognise Linda and Amy. Linda is standing behind them with a man, who has his arms wrapped around her. Ashton is standing in front, with his arms over the shoulders of two girls. Amy is on his left, and another girl on his right. She looks a lot like Linda. They all wear matching grins that they flash at the camera.

I know the two I don't recognise must be Ashton's Father and his older sister, Diana. I think his Father's name is Kaito. I once heard Linda mention him, I think.

I can't help but let my mind wander back to my family. Besides for Jack, is there anyone else? Maybe from the pack my parents were in? What really happened to them?

Sighing to myself, I can't help but think Ashton and his family are very close. I'm not that close with Jack, which does bother me. I mean, he's my brother, right? So why don't I feel that close to him? Not to mention I feel like I've caused a rift between Ashton and Amy. They don't hang out much, and I bet they did a lot before I showed up.

Suddenly feeling extremely guilty, I curl up in on myself tighter and try not to cry.

It's Saturday, so Linda doesn't bother waking us up unless something big happens. It's already ten o' clock, and I was waiting for Ashton to wake up before I got up, but I think he was really tired last night.

Having me screaming and crying probably didn't help.

Bit by bit I pry Ashton's arm off of my waist, despite his unhappy growls. Thankfully he doesn't wake up, and I exit the room quietly.

Linda doesn't seem to be home when I make my way into the kitchen and find cereal. I find a note on the fridge though, explaining that she's gone out for the day.

I sit in the lounge room and watch Saturday morning cartoons while eating my breakfast quietly. Jack wanders down a little while later and flops down beside me.

"Morning, sis'."

"Morning." I answer quietly.

He looks at me out of the corner of his blue eyes. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Rosalina." His tone is a warning.

I place the now empty bowl on the coffee table and cross my legs. "It's just... I'm tired of this, you know?"

"'This'?"

I frown slightly. "It's all hitting home. I was out there for so long... I've missed so much..."
