In the weekend
"Just tell me what should I take, I'm going alone. You stay here and get things ready for the barbeque", I say to Luke who insists to come with me at the shop.
"Fine! Damn, I've never seen someone so stubborn!", he says and he hands me a piece of paper with the things that we need. Meat, sauces and some drinks. Thank God that I'm 21.
"I'll be back soon", I say and I kiss his cheek. I'm making my way out of the house to the car.
I'm turning on the engine and I'm going to the shop.
Unknown's P.O.V
"Boss, she left the house", says a man dressed in black.
"Good, bring them to the warehouse, and I'll send someone else to her her too"
Luke's P.O.V
"This girl is going to drive me crazy if I let her one more time alone somewhere"
"She's a big girl, she can handle it", Maya say.
"True that too, but I don't want to blame myself if she happens something because she is too stubborn"
"She was always like this. Get used to it. It's been 2 years already"
"Oh thank you sis. I'm already cured", I say with a slight trace of sarcasm in my voice.
Few more years and I'm starting to sound like Alex.
Then all of us hear a strange sound followed by some smoke. We started to cough, but soon my vision became blurry and all I see now is black.
Alexis's P.O.V
I'm parking the car in front of the house, but I have a strange feeling, since a weird smell is creeping into my nose. I sense someone behind my back, but I don't get the chance to react, because I'm knocked out.
Unknown's P.O.V
"I got her too, boss"
"Good, very good. Bring her to the warehouse", I say and I hang up.
Well, let the fun begin.
Couple of hours later, at the warehouse
Alexis's P.O.V
Can someone stop this noise? It's killing my head. I slowly open my eyes and I see that I'm on a bed. I start to scan the room, hoping that I'm seeing my friends, but I'm all alone in the room. Where the hell am I?
I hear some steps coming to the room and the door opens.
"Good that you're awake. He waits for you", the man says and he comes in my way to grab my hand.
"Get the fuck away from me!", I scream.
"Darling don't make it harder than already looks. Now move!", the man demands and I try my best to escape from his hand that is glued on my arm.
"Let me go, you fucking bastard!", I say, but the idiot doesn't listen.
Soon we arrive in front of a door, which is opened by the beast that dragged me and I see my friends laying on the floor with their hands and their feet handcuffed.
"Luke!", I scream and this time the beast lets me go. I fell on my knees in front of him. "Oh God, are you okay? All of you?", I ask looking at them.
"We're alright at the moment. Did he do something to you?", Luke asks.
"Who is he?", I ask.
"Hello dear Alexis", I hear a voice behind me and for the first time in my life I'm scarred. I turn my head to the person that called my name and his icy blue eyes meet mine.
"Who-who are you?", I ask.
"Aw, your friends didn't tell you about me?", he asks amused.
"Aaron, let her alone. She has nothing to do with this", Luke adds. So this is Aaron.
"Oh, really? Then why is she here?"
"Sick bastard! You took my parents from me!", I scream.
"I wouldn't have done that if they paid the debt at the right time. Now my dear, how about to talk about some business?"
"I am not talking about business, especially with the murderer of my family", I speak with venom in my voice.
"I think you will want to do that, if you don't want to see your friends dying in front of you", he says.
I slowly get up making my feet dragging in his direction. I'm looking at my friends and it's like they plead me not to go.
"I'll be back", I say and I follow Aaron.
We arrive in his office and he motions me to sit on one of the chairs which are in front of the desk.
"What do you want from me?", I ask coldly.
"Straight to the point, I like it"
"Cut the crap and tell what do you want"
"Well since your beloved parents didn't pay me at the right time, it's on you to win the deathly race and the big prize of 10 millions dollars", he says.
"And that's it?"
"No, if you will try to escape until then, I'm going to make you watch how I torture your friends, and I will start with that boyfriend of yours", he says smirking.
"Do I have time to analyse this situation?", I ask.
"You have 24 hours to do that. But I don't think you'll need that, since you have no other option. But I'll give those 24 hours to do that, and to stay for the last time with your dear friends"
In what hell did I arrive?
The man who took me from the room, takes me to the room where my friends are.
I can't even face them after the talk with Aaron.
"Hey, what happened sis?", Eli asks.
"I-I have to pay a debt that my parents didn't pay. I have to win the race, but this means this is the last time that we see each other", I say and I start to cry.
"He's sick! Alexis don't go to the race!", Luke adds.
"And do what? Watch you how you get tortured in front of my eyes?", I say between sobs.
Silence made its presence quickly.
"We'll find a way", Luke says.
"No, I will do it. And you can't do anything about it", I say. "For now let's just stay here together, please", and I put my head on Luke's shoulder and he kisses my forehead. Oh God, I am going to miss this.
