1  year and a half later

How to begin this? Well, as you can see it's been some time since I decided to go with Aaron in order to protect my friends and set them free.
I decided to write them a letter saying that I was asking for forgiveness and also wrote them that I'm dead.
They know that I died to save them.
And it's true. I gave myself to Aaron and his filthy business in order to keep them alive.
I chose to die so they can live carefree.

I know that it wasn't really the smartest thing that I have ever done, but I didn't want them to live with someone who's wanted.
Yes, a lot of people wanted me as a personal mechanic, but Aaron managed somehow to keep me to himself. That selfish prick.

Right now, I'm sitting on a hill on the Demon's hood, and yes I kept the car just to have a memory from him.
I'm looking at the most beautiful person ever.
Luke.
But it's more than that.

It's his wedding. He finally found someone who could be there for him, and not lying to him like I did.
Even Elijah and Ryan found someone who makes them happy.
But after all, that's what matters. Seeing them happy makes me happy too. Seems like my death was something good. My job it's done here.

"Watching your ex boyfriend's wedding huh?", Cole's voice showed up.

Who's Cole? Well, the partner that Aaron set me up with. Like a babysitter, to say that. He thought that I will escape and that's why Cole is with me. He's 2 years older than me.

"It's none of your business!", I say.
"I thought that after one year and a half spent with me, Lex, you'll get used to me", he says cockily. If he wasn't a damn pretty boy, by now I would have punched him in the face.
"You're lucky that I like your face, otherwise I would have punched you by now", I say and he lets out a laugh.
"You're funny. Your ex was lucky to have you", he says.
"Don't say that just to ease the pain", I say and he jumps on the hood. I need to get used to it.
"I can sit, right?", Cole asks.
"You already do this", I roll my eyes and I focus my view on Luke.
"If you roll your eyes one more time at me, I'm taking you on this car, right now", he says sternly.
I roll my eyes mentally, and I keep my mouth shut.
I forgot how much of cocky he can be sometimes. The thing that made us work together was that I could answer him back without him being mad on me.
"You still love him, don't you?", Cole asks.
"He will always have a special place in my heart", I say looking down at my fingers trying not to cry.
"Somehow I understand your pain. I loved someone once too. Just like you and Luke, right?" he asks and I nod. "But as soon she discovered what job I had, she left, even if she promised not to", he admits. Wow, that's a side of Cole that I have never seen.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that", I say.
"You don't have to", he says and he gets closer to me. "Put your head on my shoulder", he tells me and I go this. Cole puts his arm around me and he gives me a quick hug.
"Lex, I know it's hard, but with time it will get better. I'm here for you, I'm your partner after all", he says and I laugh shortly.
"Thank you Cole", I say.

I'm looking at Luke how he smiles at her, and soon he plants a kiss on her lips. It sounds selfish, but that should be me. I guess I don't deserve love after everything that I have done in the past year. He doesn't know that I'm watching, and he will never know that I threw myself into the devil's world, just to let him free.
I lost them.
I lost him, and this time it's for good.
