After I had finally washed the makeup off, I came down and had dinner and then went straight back up to my room, waiting for the night to actually take over. I couldn't get Tate's face out of my head for some reason.
I stayed up searching about the house for a while before setting myself off to bed. I wanted to focus on the boy in the photo but every time I tried, Tate would just pop back into my mind. His charming smile and adorable dimples. Dimples made me weak. I climbed into bed, sleeping in only my black underwear as usual and tried to get to sleep. I feared that I'd start dreaming of Tate as he was still stuck in my head. The boy I hardly knew.
I awoke to the smell of fresh bacon filling the air. I opened my eyes and realised that I really was in my dream house which brought a sort of smile to my face. I climbed out of bed and headed towards the bathroom. Luckily no one was walking the halls upstairs as I didn't bother covering myself. The bathroom was huge and had a fairly large, pretty posh, bathtub. So I decided to take advantage of the bath instead of having a shower.
After running the bath and settling myself in, I started to doze off a little. I had pulled the shower curtain around so I had more privacy and because the bathroom door didn't have a lock for some reason. I took a deep breath in and felt relaxation take over my body as I smelled the bacon in the air and felt the warmth of the water take over my body. I opened my eyes to see that the water had turned red from my hair dye. It was pretty awesome actually.
"Hm, blood bath." I laughed to myself.
"At least it's not a real one." I heard a voice which made me immediately sit myself straight up. I didn't recognise the voice at all but I knew it was female.
"Who's there?" I blurted out, being hidden by the shower curtains. I could see the shadow of a figure in the bathroom behind the shower curtains. I gulped and then slowly out stretched my arm to grab the curtains. The voice laughed and I watched the shadow get darker, as I knew they were walking closer towards the bath. I stood myself up and pressed my back to the wall.
"Moira?" I questioned.
"I wouldn't get too comfy if I were you. Some 'people' don't want you here and they might stage a little accident for you. You know, a real blood bath," said the voice one more time. Was I being threatened? Suddenly, the shower curtains flung open by them selves and before me was nothing but my reflection on the other side of the bathroom. But my reflection wasn't my normal self. It showed me standing in the bath but my whole body was ripped to shreds and burned. I screamed at the sight and I lost balance. I slipped and fell backwards in the bath tub, hitting my head on the edge of the tub and I fell under the water, unconscious.

I had decided to 'arrive' early at the Scott's front door to see if I'd bump into Effy at all. I don't know why but she was in my head quite a bit last night, along with Violet. Usually all I'd ever think about was Violet but not anymore. I had the image of Effy and her skull makeup stuck in my head. What was going on? I rung the doorbell and waited outside. The door opened.
"Oh hello." smiled a woman, which must of been Effy's mom.
"Hi, sorry I'm a bit early Miss, but I'm here to see Doctor Scott." I smiled, giving off a charm.
"Ah hello, I'm Rose, his wife. I'm afraid he's gone out at the moment but he'll be back soon. You're welcome to come in and wait?" she smiled, opening the door a little wider.
"If that's alright, Rose." Rose smiled and made room for me to walk in.
"It's no trouble dear, come through with me." she said as I stepped into the house. Rose led me towards the kitchen where I was welcomed with the strong smell of bacon, which I smelt just earlier. "Take a seat, uh...sorry what's your name?" asked Rose as she offered a seat to me at the breakfast bar.
"It's Tate." I smiled as I sat down. I kept looking around myself in search for Effy. Only Rose and the maid with red hair were in my presence.
"Lovely name! I assure you my husband won't be long now. Coffee?" she asked charmingly, flashing her smile at me.
"Breakfast is almost ready, shall I go call down Miss Scott?" asked the maid, turning around to face us. It was Moira. At least I knew another friendly face around here.
"Hm? Ah yes, yes, Effy's probably still in her room. Call her down." answered Rose, grabbing two mugs out of the cupboard. I shot to attention as soon as I knew Effy was about to be called down. I ruffled my hair and straightened out my t-shirt. What was I doing? Tate, stop it! Why are you trying to impress her? You're in love with Violet. You love Violet. I love Violet..

"Miss Scott!? Wake up! Are you okay? Miss Scott!" I heard a muffled voice say. My eyes suddenly shot open and I took in a large breath in and then let out a scream, jumping up from the bath and grabbing the shower curtains to cover my naked body. My sight was blurry and my ears were blocked. I widened my eyes and shook my head to make my sight clearer. I looked straight ahead of me and saw a woman with red hair standing before me. I rubbed my eyes with one of my hands and then looked up again. It was Moira standing before me, with a rather worried expression. "Miss Scott? Don't panic, you're safe. Are you alright?" she questioned. I didn't answer but breathed heavily. My sight went beyond Moira and to the mirror behind her. My reflection was visible and normal, not burnt and messed up. I sighed in relief and sat back down in the red water, making sure I was covered. "Are you okay?" asked Moira, once again.
"Yeah... I'm fine." I finally blurted out.
"Are you sure? I came up to collect you for breakfast and when you weren't in your room or answering me, I got a little worried." she started. I put my hand on my head and started rubbing it. I had a fuck off headache coming on. "You were under the water, looking unconscious. I panicked when I saw that the water was also red." finished Moira. I looked around myself.
"Oh, that's just hairdye. That's noting to worry about. I must of fallen asleep in the bath and just went under. I'm absolutely fine, I promise." I smiled and convinced, wanting her to leave.
"I realised that. Well, as long as you're okay. You just looked like you saw a ghost, Miss Scott. But anyways, breakfast is ready so I'll leave you be." she said. I kept smiling until she had left and closed the door behind her and then I looked around myself again. What the hell happened? Who was in the bathroom? What happened to my body? Did I imagine all of that? Was it a dream? I had so many questions and no explanations. I raised myself from the bathtub and went to go grab a towel. The towel was black, of course, and then made my way out of the bathroom and along the corridor to the stairs. I knew mom, or Moira, would of made a breakfast feast as now the smell of bacon and other foods was stronger.
I came straight into the kitchen with my head down and holding the towel tight.
"That smells amaz-" I suddenly stopped as I looked up. My mouth opened a little, like before, as soon as I saw Tate sitting at the breakfast bar with a cup of coffee. "-ing." I finished the word, quieter.
"Effy, what happened up stairs?" asked my mom, walking towards me. "I heard screams, Moira said you fell asleep in the bath and had a scary awakening." she said, placing her hand on my head. I flinched away as my head was in pain but tried to keep acting normal.
"Yeah, that's all that happened mom. I fell asleep." I convinced. I kept looking at Tate in the corner of my eye and then suddenly realised that I was in just a towel and had no makeup on. I lowered my head and walked away from my mom and over to the breakfast bar and sat down on the seat which was one away from Tate. I tried not to make eye contact with him as I felt quite ugly in this state but I could feel his eyes on me.

Effy came down in just a towel which was black, I wasn't really surprised. Her red hair was wet and dripping and her face was clear porcelain. No black around her eyes or around her lips. She was like a human doll, breathtaking. I watched her grab a plate from the side and choose out of the selection of foods.
"Okay, I've got to get going darling or I'm going to miss my bus to work!" spoke Rose to Effy. Effy just nodded and continued choosing what food she wanted. "I'll see you later, oh and Tate, my husband won't be much longer, okay!" she smiled at me. I smiled back and nodded before she headed out the door.
"I'll go and tidy up the bathroom, leave the dishes to me when you're done Miss Scott." said Moira as she began to leave the kitchen. Effy finished choosing her food with very little on her plate and then grabbed her cutlery.
"Okay, I'm gonna go eat this in my room." said Effy, hopping down off the breakfast bar.
"Wait!" I suddenly said, stopping Effy in her tracks. She turned to face me with a sparkle in her eyes. "Care to keep me company? Just until your dad comes back." I smiled at her, hoping she'll say yes.
