me: Hey, you almost here?
Cynthia: yeah, lost my cap so it took me a while haha
me: OK well hurry up
cynthia: I am calm down
I put my phone down and touched up my hair and makeup then smoothed out my dress with my nervous showing sweaty palms.
I grab my gown and cap while sliding on my ankle strapped black heels, the only shoes I own that match my dress. it's a white strap dress with small yellow flowers all over it, that goes down to my thighs. the yellow flowers match my gown it's a silky yellow and the cap is the same but with a velvet purple on top.
I walk down stairs to see my parents at the bottom, in the kitchen.
"oh baby girl you look beautiful"
my dad says to me. my dad has been through everything with me. all of my heart breaks with boys, losing some of my bestfriends, hurt times with josh, my fifth grade daddy daughter dance.
I wouldn't trade him for anything.
"oh baby, your growing up so fast" my mom comes and hugs me.
after a while of them gushing over me and my outfit and talking about my future cynthia finally gets here and we all leave to the school.
once we are there we quickly run to the autitorium since we where almost late for graduation. I see josh and walk over to him.
"wow, you look, gorgeous"
"you don't look to bad yourself richards." I chuckle at him as we share a small kiss together. everyone was wearing there class ring. mine had a volleyball, my initials and 'class of '19' wrote on the band.
the principal told us all to take our seats so we did and they stated calling us up. one by one we all walked up to the podium to get our deploma.
once they said my name, my heart dropped to my stomach, this is it. I'm graduating highschool, no more after school, no more skipping class, and no more friends to hang out with. we all have to worry about colleges now. damn.
I walk up the principal hands me the paper and shakes my hand.
"I'm so proud of you darling" I smile and walk over to where the rest of the students where standing.
once they where done calling everyone up and we where all on the stage. The assistant principal walks up and taps the mic to make sure it's on and working.
"I am so proud of everyone on this stage. they have made it so far and I am thankful to be the one to say this. One this stage, at this very moment I give you, the class of two thousand nineteen."
the audience roars in claps in cheers as we all stand there. We walk off one row at a time and continue back to our seats.
I sit down between millie and josh, cynthia and Mads sitting together beside us having there own conversation.
"we actually did it, we made to graduation" I chuckle at my own comment and Josh pits his hand in mine and looks at me. "we made here together baby" he kisses my knuckles and I blush softly.
"it's insane how we've been dating for so long but you still manage to make me so flustered." I say with a small giggle. "that's my job baby that what I do" he makes a silly face while saying that which me laugh. "God you're so corny" I push his thigh gently.
he holds his hands to his chest as if he's 'affended' " I cannot believe you would say such a thing, how rude"
I laugh at his cheesy-ness which makes him laugh also. Soon enough were both bursting with tears of laughter.
"10, 9, 8"
I walk around aggressivly looking for josh. we do this thing when a class graduates they count down from ten and once they get to one you throw your caps up in the air and if you have a significant other you would kiss them, if not you would just hug your best friend. or something like that.
"5, 4, 3"
the count down is running low and I still haven't found josh.
"2, 1, 0!!"
I walk up to a tall guy that look like josh and I'm assuming it is because he had the hair and the same clothes. I turn him around and without hesitation I press my lips against his. but the weird thing is, there was no spark. when I kiss josh there is always a spark and fireworks in my stomach that just make want to scream from all of the thrill. oh no, did I just kiss the wrong person?
I have been waiting my whole school life for this moment to happen. this little moment that everyone gets when they graduate but I just messed it up so badly, by kissing someone on the lips that wasn't my boyfriend.
I pull apart from him and look into his eyes. oh crap......I just kissed Sam....josh's best friend.
I feel my stomach churn as I turn around and see josh but he looks lost like he hadn't seen anything. so I apologize to sam telling him I thought he was josh and then walking over to him.
"hey babe I've literally been looking all over for you" he grips onto my waist and pulls me close to him. he takes off both of our caps and tosses them to the side as he kisses me softly.
now that, that's the kind of sparks I was talking about. it's insane how such little passion can make someone go wild
