Oh, crap.

…Was my first reaction when I happened to glance up and see Val’s creepy sharp-teethed grin. I subconsciously found myself noticing how her lips were painted a deep blue color this time, along with her matching hair.

But never mind that.

I slept on a date. With Aaron.

I would’ve jumped off a cliff right then and there if it wasn’t for Mikah’s sudden appearance, his white hair shinning under the fluorescent lights that hung from the tall ceiling above. He grinned when he realized I was looking.

“How are you today Katarina? Or should I say, tonight?” He laughed, Val’s echoed behind his.

I narrowed my eyes, “Where’s Felix?”

Mikah glanced at Val, who soon afterwards handed him what looked like a silver coin. He started flipping it around as he spoke.

“No one sleeps this early.”

My face flushed, and I quickly averted my eyes. Instead, I looked around at my surroundings. I was in what looked like a great hall, the walls, floor, and ceiling all covered in white. White paint, white cloth, white tiles. It felt like I was in some horror movie, in some kind of mental hospital or any hospital in that matter. Mikah’s hair easily blended in the background, while Val’s stood out almost painfully. The marks on their bodies moved around strangely in contrast to the motionless room.

I realized I was lying on the floor, and quickly sat up.

“What’s going on?” My eyes moved from Val’s flashy hair so I could look at Mikah more closely.

His eyes widened in fake shock. “Is it not normal for you to be here with us, Katarina?”

“It shouldn’t be! I should be back there, with normal people. What am I doing here?”

He grinned, and I suddenly felt the urge to knock him unconscious. God knows that would rip out his horrible smile.

He flipped the silver coin and it disappeared.

“You’re here because we want you to be.”

“That’s not an answer.” I said grudgingly, ignoring his previous act of ‘magic’. “I want a straight forward answer, for once.”

“We want to talk.” He said simply.

I pointed at Val. “She’s not saying anything. This is all just you.”

He turned to his friend, or whatever she was to him, and drew her closer to his side. Val let out a flirty mewl.
