shiro won't shut the fuck up about you. i love him. but fuck him. its always all about you. keith this, keith that. keith is amazing at this, keith taught me that.

i wish people talked about me the way he talks about you.

page eight. 12:01am

the trees waved to me when i arrived. you looked at me when i made a joke about the fried chicken sandwiches still being alive while our class walked to lunch. luis is two states away. marcus is at college an hour away. i sat alone at at lunch today. but you looked at me. it was a silly reason to look, i wasn't entirely joking either. but your entire head turned my way and your eyes found my face. no one else. me.

page twelve. 4:56am

i will probably never give you this, but i like writing about you.
(p.s i've wasted a lot of paper on you)

i find peace within the trees
even when the sky is overcast
even when the wind makes me freeze
(okay this is cheese-y)
your hair matches the way you speak.
i wonder what you think,
i won't tell anyone if you let me peek

not even the trees.

i would pick you ten out of nine times
even if that meant you wouldn't pick me at all
i don't mind the ragdoll treatment, not really

the trees must want to meet you. every time i write about you, the wind picks up and the trees wavering trunks shriek back like theyy're singing. they say you're trouble, but trouble has never startled me before. especially if it's a black haired boy with knuckles the color of a perfectly ripe strawberry. destruction is my home and peculiarity is a hobby of interest. they say you often salt the earth behind you, but i imagine it sucks doing it alone. if you provide the salt, i will give you the world. (but i don't believe you could chaotically destroy something as small as an ant hill).

-a thought by lance;
i find peace in the trees because they remind me of you
they remind me to forget the not so good things
and remind me i have you, perhaps one of the better things
