Saving Saussy Village

As soon as they got close enough to the mist, Magna, Noelle and Asta saw that it was covering not just the village, but the village's entrance too so no one would leave or enter it. Looking closely at the mist, Noelle touched it and Asta asked, "Do you know where this mist came from Noelle?"

Noelle scrunched her eyes a bit and she said, "Being an expert in water, I'm thinking this mist wasn't created intentionally. My gut tells me this mst was created by magic."

After hearing that, Magna began to get worried about the villagers as well as the elder inside. It was then that Asta heard the voice again and it told her, "Save them. Please, save them."

Asta clutched her head after hearing that and she thought, there it is again! What's going on?! Suddenly, Magna's voice snapped Asta out of it and she looked at him and he said to her, "Asta, can you use your sword to break this spell so we can get inside the village and find out what the hell is going on?"

Forgetting about the voice, Asta nodded and she took her sword out of her grimoire and slashed a hole in the mist which was big enough for the three of them to get through. After Asta did that, he spell began to close up and the three bulls leapt through before it closed completely. As soon as they got through the barrier, what the three of the, saw made their eyes go wide. There in the center of the village were the villagers and above them were sharp looking icicles pointing at them.

Right next to the villagers was a dead body that Magna instantly recognized as the village head who gave them the job. Also surrounding the villagers were a bunch of mages in purple cloaks. The three watched as the cloaked mages raised their hands and then lowered them and soon, the icicles surrounding the villagers started coming down. Reacting to instinct Magna rushed forward and used his fire magic to destroy the icicles before the pointy ends could strike the people. Asta and Noelle soon joined him to see if the villagers were all right.

Asta knelt down to two crying children and she asked, "What happened?"

One of the children sniffed and told her, "Those mages attacked us. Grandpa tried to save us, but he...but he..."

Magna looked down at the elder's body, squinted his eyes and thought, old man. He then looked at the group of mages and shouted to them, "What is the meaning of this?! Who are you people?!"

One of the mages who was sitting on a broken wall, looked at Magna with a glare and ignored the fire mage's words. The mage said to him, "Why did you interfere? That vermin before you had to be eliminated."

Asta saw the mage was slender with slanted eyes, he had short gray hair that was combed backward and he had a scar on his face that started on the right side of his forehead and stretched towards his left cheek. Magna growled in annoyance at the mage and shouted again, "Don't ignore me! Who the hell are you?!"

The mage let out a sigh of boredom, looked at a pocket watch in his hand and said, "We don't have any time for this. The delays are too much."

The mage then conjured some ice and said, "I should at least give you my name before you die. It's Heath Grice. Now die vermin." And Heath hurled the ice at Magna.

Asta soon rushed forward, taking her sword out of her grimoire and slashed the ice magic before it could hit Magna. Asta pointed her sword at the group of mages and asked them with a glare, "Explain yourselves! Who are you people and why would you attack these innocent villagers?!"

Magna began to think in his mind that maybe the group of mages came from outside the Clover Kingdom like from their rival the Diamond Kingdom. While Magna was thinking that, Heath narrowed his gaze at Asta when he saw she was wearing the robe for the Black Bulls and he started to question in his mind why the magic knights were interfering. He then assumed that the three squad members were probably on an unofficial mission and that's probably why they showed up.
