Yuno's Mission

AN: Hey everyone. Sorry it's taking me SO long to update, but like I said in my previous posts, I'm slow and I only return to a certain story when I feel up to it. Other than that, I do have a life outside of these stories and I said this before that I'm one person and I can't write 10 million stories in eight hours. So with that, this here is the next update. Enjoy😊

While Asta and her friends were dealing with Sekke and doing their shopping, Yuno was flying on his broomstick and he was flying next to a flying carriage and in that carriage was Salim Hapshass, the boy that Yuno defeated in the Magic Knight Exam. Along with Yuno was Klaus as well as Mimosa Vermillion, who just like Yuno, is another new recruit. Yuno didn't even want to do the mission because the stuck up noble not only humiliated him at the exam, but he also flirted with Asta which made his anger deep inside him burn.

Klaus was also suspicious as to why Salim requested Yuno to join them since the boy defeated the noble and no squad will recruit him. He looked behind him and saw Salim casually talking with Yuno. Klaus then asks Salim, "Sir, may I ask why you requested for Yuno to be on this mission?"

Salim smiled and said, "I did to apologize to the lad here. I came off as so rude when we first met and I flirted with his girlfriend in front of him. So, as an apology, I wanted to assign Yuno as one of bodyguards on this mission."

Salim then looked at Yuno and said to him, "And as a reward, my dear friend, I'll do all I can to make your dreams come true. Word has it you want to be the Wizard King, correct? I can help you with that along with other things."

Yuno furrowed his eyes and said, "Like what?"

Salim smiled brightly and said, "Like your own mansion with tons of servants. I can use my connections to make you a lord of your own land. And maybe, I'll also give you the most extravagant wedding for your little girlfriend. With the most beautiful flowers decorating the venue, a gazebo where your vows will take place and for the bride, the most beautiful gown made from the most expensive silk in all the Clover Kingdom."

Yuno imagined all of that as the noble was explaining it. He imagined Asta not in her tomboy clothes but a wedding dress, her hair held up with clips and her face adorned with makeup. He also imagined himself in a crisp tuxedo and he saw Asta's veiled face coming towards him and the priest who watched over them when they were kids take part in the ceremony and Sister Lily, the church's children and all their friends in the Magic Knights watch it. Yuno also imagined himself being the Wizard King and taking care of the kingdom with his right hand and when they day is done, he would return home to Asta wearing a flowing dress and her stomach carrying his child.

At night, the two would lay in bed and Yuno would have his head on Asta's belly feeling its warmth and he would smile gently as he feels his wife's hand petting his hair. Yuno smiled to himself as he imagined all of that and he thought to himself, someday. While Yuno was imagining his future with Asta, Salim kept talking telling Yuno that he'll brag to his children that he fought and was beaten by the Wizard King. It was then that Salim asked, "So, Yuno, tell me a bit about yourself? Who's your family? Where did you grow up? I want to hear it all."

Yuno proceeded to tell the young noble how he and Asta were found and raised at a church and how the two grew up with the other church orphans. Meanwhile, Klaus was watching and listening to everything and that got him even more suspicious about this whole mission. Suddenly, black clouds appeared in the sky and Mimosa looked at them and said, "I didn't know we were getting a storm?"

Yuno furrowed his gaze and told them he was gonna check them out and he flew his broomstick towards the clouds while ignoring Klaus' protests. It was then that Yuno saw bandits flying out of the clouds and they started to attack the group with their magic. Yuno used his wind magic to protect them as much as he could, but one of the assailants hit him causing Yuno to fall off his broomstick. Using the magic he has, Yuno unleashes a powerful spell and shouted, "Wind Magic: Swift White Hawk!" And a Hawk made of wind flew at the bandits and it hit them sending them all scattering.
