The Shopping Trip

After their fight with Heath Grice and saving Saussy Village, Magna, Noelle and Asta returned to the Black Bulls base tired and exhausted from their mission. As soon as they entered, the others immediately saw them and ran towards the group. Finral jumped onto Asta and started to rub his face in her hair and said, "Oh Asta dear! I was so worried about you!"

Vanessa yanked the flirting boy off of Asta and looked at the group and asked with a much kinder approach, "Are you all hurt at all?"

Asta rubbed the back of her head while chucking and said, "We're pretty tired and we had to face some tough mages. But other than that, we're fine."

It was then that Yami said, "Well that's good to here because I have an announcement to make."

Magna, Noelle and Asta looked at their captain and Magna asked, "What is it Mr. Yami?"

Yami began to tell them, "I was informed by the Magical Forensic Division about your situation and they've started to investigate that group of mages affiliation to anyone in the Clover Kingdom, but so far they haven't turned up one single clue. However, I just received word from the Wizard King about how you three managed to save the villagers and Saussy from that mage attack and he bestowed you three a magic star for your performance."

Asta then saw Yami pull out three small golden stars from his pocket and gave one to each of them. The three mages were in surprise and awe that they were awarded stars for their heroic efforts. Yami soon showed Asta the board where the stars go and she, along with Noelle and Magna, placed their stars on the board. As Asta was doing that, she looked at the bard and saw that most of the stars on it were black.

She then looked at Yami and asked, "Captain, why are there so many black stars on the board?"

Yami took a puff from his cigarette, exhaled some smoke and said, "It's because we keep screwing up missions that we were given black stars. It's also the reason why the Black Bulls are named the worst magic knight squad in the kingdom."

"Then who has the most gold stars?" Asta asked.

Yami dreaded to answer the question, but he didn't want to hold anything back and he answered, "It's the squad that lad you know is in. The Golden Dawn has a 100 positive stars while we have negative stars."

Asta looked at the board to see all the black stars on it and she nodded and thought, then I'll make sure this squad gets plus stars from here on out and maybe if I get enough, I'll reach my goal to become the Wizard King and beat Yuno. Yami placed a hand on Asta's head and rubbed it when he saw the look on her face. Yami then looked at the squad and said to them, "I'm also gonna the give members of the squad their salaries for this week too. So be sure to use it wisely."

Asta smiled brightly when she heard that she was gonna get paid and thanked Yami knowing that she'll send some of her earnings back to Hage Village. Noelle however wasn't too amazed by the amount she received, but she was grateful that she got paid. Pretty soon, Vanessa placed her arms over Noelle and Asta's shoulders and she said to them, "Well, since you two got paid. How about we have some girl time and go on a shopping trip in a castle town in the Common Realm."

Hearing that they were gonna go shopping, Asta nodded and agreed to go as well as Noelle. With help from Finral's portal, the girls arrived in the castle town known as Kikka. Asta became so amazed by the town that she began to run ahead of her two friends. Noelle sighed and thought to herself, she may be a girl like me, but she can be an idiot at times. Asta stopped at a snack stall selling delicious treats that she never seen before and the lady working it smiled at her and asked, "Would you like to try some, dearie?"
