ITS OKAY TO CRY SOMETIMES

MELODY'S POV
A part of me wanted to pull myself from his arms but a part of me wanted to stay there .someone hugging me this tight and telling me that it was going to be alright was probably the last thing that I wanted right now and out of all the people, it had to be the new guy.

''I'm sorry for letting you see me like this.'' I succeeded to mumble out some few words

''Its not a crime to break down and cry, I believe you have every right to. But, I also believe that it's time for you to stop crying and to start being happy again. I heard about your best friend. I'm sorry about that.
But do you think she's happy seeing you like this?''

His words were sharp yet soothing . He's right ,Emma wouldn't want me to be this way.
'' I can't help it''

''Yes you can Mel''
Then I heard the door crack open

''What are you doing here?'' Mom spoke out as soon as she saw Dave on my bed with my head tilted on his perfectly built chest.

What do you think?

''Mom its okay. He just came to see if i was okay.''

''Besides i was just leaving. Good morning'' Dave cut in, stood up and headed towards the door.
''I'll see you later Mel.''

Hopefully

''Bye Dave''

Then mom pulled a chair and sat besides me, she obviously can't sit on the bed...i mean its not that i want her to. Ugh never mind

''So i see you two are starting to be friends now''

Can someone tell me I didn't see this question coming

I took my earphones and patched them on both of my ears,practically telling my mom that I really wasn't interested in seeing her.

  ''Yeah,why? Is that bothering you or something.''

''No,not at all sweetheart.'' I could sense the nervousness in her voice .

''And ugh, your doctor said that you may be discharged later.''

''Okay''

Daddy I'm afraid,
won't you stay a little while,
You may say there monsters right outside,

''She wants to assign a counselor for you''

Daddy please don't go,
I don't wanna be alone cause the second that you're gone,
They're gonna know,
....he grabbed my hand and said,

''Okay''

''Okay? Are you even listening to me??''

Just cause I'm leaving,
It don't mean that,
I won't be right by your side,
When you need me,
You can't see me,
In the middle of the night,

''Melody?!!''

Just close your eyes and say a prayer,
Its okay i know you're scared ,
When I'm not here,
But I'll always be right here,

''Melody!!''

Even though I'm leaving,
I ain't going nowhere...,

Suddenly, it was silent.
My mom had my earphones in her hands.
''I said, your doctor wants to arrange a counselor for you.''

''I don't need a counselor. I'm fine.'' I shrugged and forcefully took my earphones from mom.

''Says the person who tried to kill herself two days ago''

''Whatever''

''You are going to get a counselor, whether you want it or not.''

Neither of us heard the door open, gladly interrupted by a woman who looks so familiar wearing a doctor's coat.

'' Im sorry for the interruption .''

Sorry??

''I need to speak with Melody''

''Go ahead. She's all yours.'' Mom said as she sat down on the chair that she pulled before our little argument

''Alone''
I could literally sense my mom's blood boiling to its highest point.
''Oh, okay'' she slowly stood up and left.
'' Hi Melody''
''Hey''
''I'm dr Talia. I'm actually your doctor and I'm happy to see you're getting better''she smiled.
Yeah, me too.
I only smiled at her.

'' Okay, with an unsuccessful suicide attempt, a note that we found on your jeans and the healed cuts on your arms. I believe you're going through depression and anxiety.''

Tell me something I don't know

''So I would gladly prefer a counselor to be arranged for you that will help you to get over this.'' She slowly held my hand.

'' you don't deserve to go through a such kind of pain. I promise, you'll get better.''

Thats when it clicked. I once saw this woman get out of Dave's house. She must be his mom especially due to the fact that she's actually the female version of him.

''Okay''

''I thought you wouldn't accept it.''she  said stunned

''I wouldn't want to upset the mother of the guy who saved me from death'' as bad as i felt, i had to say it.

''You would have been dead by now, you know that right?'' She smiled at me. But her smile was different. Even though she didn't know me that much, her smile was filled with concern.

''You are a wonderful girl Mel''

Tears had already started to fill in my eyes. People actually cared about me.
