Before you read it, I got inspiration from Zach's song Phantom Love, the song is absolutely amazing! Okay, I hope you like it! And by the way, I won't put ALL the lyrics from the song because it would take me forever so I'll write some and then jump to others, hope that's okay.
Edit: I also got inspiration from the movie Oliver and company. Now I'll let you all read the oneshot already.

"So Sal, are you ready to record your song?" I asked him. He didn't had his prosthetic on, he slowly got used to not have his prosthetic with him but are some times when he wears it. He just chuckled softly wearing a smile on his face. We were on our way to the recording room.

"Yeah, I think I'm ready." he smiled. "Thanks for coming, anyway."

"No, no need to thank me Sal. I came because I want to hear you sing," I smiled at him. "hope that didn't sound so weird." we both laughed.

"I just.. love your voice, you know. You are so talented! And I'm sure are many other people who also love the way you sing." I began trailing off.

"You know I'm happy enough you like my voice." he put his hand on my shoulder. "We're here." Sal said after reading to be sure he got to the right room.

We walked in to see not that of a big room, but big enough to be a few people here.

"Sal! You're finally here!" said one of our friends who was working here too. I sat down on a chair and watched Sal go the microphone and the lyrics written on paper close to the microphone. He took the paper and took a peek on the lyrics.

He cleared his throat and thumbs up the our friend, which he nodded and started recording.

"Step inside the life of the man weak enough to follow you.." he started singing. His voice sounded so perfect.

"You can become one with the walls again.. Go a little farther, Cut a little harder,"

I don't know how I can describe him, besides of him being the nicest person
in the world, one of my good friends from here and him being my boyfriend was more than enough than I ever thought.

He continued singing with his deep voice just perfect for the song. I could have heard the song again and again because the lyrics were so amazing honestly!

When Sal finished, he came and I smiled.
"Sal you did a great job!" he just laughed a little.

"Thanks y/n." he smiled at me then asked, "What's the clock anyway?" I took out my phone and opened it.

"It's just 14:54." I replied then stopped.
"Oh my stars it's 14:54!! It's the rehearsal! I need to sing the song for the movie and the voice acting!" I looked back at Sal.

"I'll meet you in the break, alright? See you darling." I tip toed and left a small kiss on his cheek and started walking not before saying at least one more time bye to Sal.

I got in time there and started to look at the replies.
"So," I started "how do you think I should say this part?" I asked pointing with the finger at the sentence.

She looked at me.
"I mean, how should I say to sound good?" I smiled.
Her expression softened, "Just say it in a happy tone that."

"Okay. 'You came for that kitty?'" I said looking at her making me a sign I don't need to continue.

"Yeah! That's how you should do it!" I sighed happy.

"So, with what should we start first? The script or the song?" she thought for a few moments and replied.
"Let's start with the song, shall we?"

"Of course m'am." I smiled getting in her small game of hers.

She handed me the lyrics of the song and went in the sound proof room.
I looked on the lyrics, so I was sure how should I say it.

"Girl we've got work to do,
Pass me the paint, and glue
Perfect isn't easy...
But.. it's.. me"

I've continued to sing, getting into the character. I felt I was the perfect person from here, started to feel like neglecting everyone except from me.
I laughed in my head. I'm not that selfish.

The break came. I walked outside, knowing exactly Sal was there waiting for me. It always have warmed my heart.

"Hey darling!" I said, he turned as I started to wave my hand at him.

"Hi y/n." he smiled, "I got you some coffee" he handed me the cup.

"Thanks." I kissed his cheek (again) and smiled at him.

"So.." Sal started.

"So?"

"How it was?" he looked at me.

"It was okay. I really like this Georgette." I smiled.

"Who's Georgette?"

"The character I'm doing the voice of."

"Oh" I smiled.
