Sal took his prosthetic off as usual when he was around me. After all, we are pretty close, so..

This time, I was asking questions again about the scars because the story he told me was... off.

"So, you say you got attacked by a dog, right?" he just nodded.

"Just tell me when it gets too personal, I'll stop asking questions." I reassured him.

"No, no it's okay. I want to know the truth." it was all he said.

"You remember that a dog attacked you and did your face like this. Right?"

"Yes, I remember a dog."

"The story's odd Sal," I said, getting close to his face "those scars don't really look like claw marks or teeth either." I said asI touched carefully his scars.

"Sal," he looked at me. "I think someone got this thing about the dog in your head. Don't you remember something else?"

"Wait a second, I think I remember something!" he exclaimed.

"What?!" I said, getting excited to find the truth, but also help Sal to find the truth.

"A Dogman" was all he said.

"A Dogman?" I repeated.

"Yeah, he wasn't really a dog, it was more like a human with a dog head or something like that." Sal said getting deep in his memories.

"Did that.. Dogman got close to you?"

"No, it was some space between me and the Dogman."

"So, the Dogman had a weapon.. But what kind of weapon this 'Dogman' could he had? A knife? No, it doesn't make sense. How he could made you those scars with a knife and being far from each other. Surely was some kind of gun with him." I mumbled to myself.

"It was a gun!" Sal exclaimed, this time gettind sadder. "He wanted to shot me... but mom saved me and nobody believed me when I said about this Dogman." his voice was shaking, tears forming in his eyes.

"Sal! Dear, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you!" I said as I hugged him.

"No, y/n it's not your fault. I'm just... just shocked and.. and sad." he tried to talk to me, it was hard to him to find the right words to explain, but I understood.

"Shhh, Sal it's okay. I understand. Take deep breaths, just calm down, okay?" I said as I took him by the shoulders and made him look at me. His eyes puffy red, he was sniffing and trying to hold his sobs.

I hugged him until he calmed down and he could speak more clearly.

"That's fucked up, Sal! I have a feeling the cult have something to do with it." I said. "But for now, let's live our lifes, okay? Let's be happy for a while, however it might not last long." I smiled a bit sad at him.

He smiled and nodded.
