It was a beautiful day in Aincrad, no one has died in two years, the sun is shining, and everything is peaceful. It was four years after the game Sword Art Online was released. The downside of this game, you are stuck in Aincrad until you beat the game. No one has beaten it yet, but that was the goal for Asuna and Kirito.
Asuna and Kirito were really good friends, and they even knew each other early in the game. But, no one wanted to be friends with Kirito. He was a Beta-Tester and he was a solo player. That didn't stop Asuna. Before they became friends, they were just acquaintances. They joined parties for the first boss raid, but Kirito was hated among the other raiders, but Asuna was one of the few who trusted him.
Kirito left the party and went off on his own to beat the game. He stayed as a solo player until Asuna saved his life. They finally decided to team up and take on the rest of the bosses. Kirito felt something he hasn't felt while being in the game, happiness. He felt pretty happy being with Asuna with him.
But one day, the creator of the game decided to get on and make an announcement. The game master decided to reset everyone to level one and have everyone still alive restart from scratch. This made Asuna and Kirito very angry. But it was too late, the game master reset everyone player to level one and had them start over. Kirito sighed as he knew he and Asuna had to work even harder.
