Chapter 3: The First Boss Raid

After a few weeks of training, the guild was ready for the first boss raid. Deku and Uraraka had a Scimitar, Rem had a Katana, and Jacob had a Spear. Asuna and Kirito were also ready with their swords. They huddled before they walked into the boss room. "Well, we've trained you all for this, let's show the boss who the real bosses are" Kirito said.

All of them were very confident as they walked in the room. In there was a boss named Illfang the Kobold Lord. "It has four health bars, but when its on the last bar of health it will bring out a new weapon, so be careful" Asuna and Kirito said as the boss woke up and started fighting. The group realized that this game wasn't going to be easy and they had to rely on teamwork to beat the game.

Deku and Uraraka started the battle with their Scimitars and took the beast to three bars of health. "Switch" they said as Rem and Jacob jumped into battle with Jacob's Spear and Rem's Katana. The two brought the beast to two health bars. "Switch" the two said as Asuna and Kirito jump in. But before they jumped in, the boss hit Rem with an attack, bringing her health down to yellow.

Jacob caught her then healed her back to full health. "Thank you Jacob" Rem said silently. "You're welcome" Jacob said back in a smile. Asuna and Kirito kept battling as Deku and Uraraka protected Rem and Jacob as Jacob healed Rem. Asuna and Kirito brought the boss to the last bar of health. "Now we have to fight it at once to beat it" Kirito said as all of them shook their heads in agreement.

The boss takes out his nōdachi and swung at the group, but missed. All of the group used their best attacks at once and killed the boss. Everyone smiled as the boss disappeared and everyone got a bunch of experience. They then went to the next floor. "1 down, 99 to go" they all said as they entered the nearest town.
