Chapter 15: The Final Battle

"Oh yes" Heathcliff said as he ordered the bosses to run after the guild. They do so and the guild started fighting each boss. It was a very difficult challenge to pass, but after a lot of relentless fighting, the guild managed to beat them all except for one. This boss had Jacob pinned to the corner of the room, hitting him with attacks while Jacob blocks them.

One attack hits him and his health drops to yellow. The guild rush to the boss and finally kill it. "Well done Kirito and others. You've managed to beat the bosses, but now it's my turn" Heathcliff said as he ran to Jacob and repeatedly stabbed him, dropping his health to red. THis angered the rest of the guild, making them all protect Jacob at all cost.

A few minutes of defending Heathcliff's attacks later, the guild get pushed away by Heathcliff. "DIE Jacob" he says as he starts swinging toward Jacob. Rem gets in front of Jacob and blocks some of his attack, but not all of it. She gets hit and her health drops to red. The rest of the guild start attacking Heathcliff on all sides.

Heathcliff was pinned to the wall trying to block all of the attacks from the guild, but his health was slowly dropping from the attacks. All of a sudden, Jacob and Rem get up and go behind him, stabbing him in the chest. This quickly brought his health to red. Then, all of the guild members used their strongest attacks at once, finally defeating Heathcliff.

Before he died, Heathcliff said "I'm proud of all of you. Congratulations." Then he died and turned into dust. Yui hugged Asuna and Kirito tightly as Asuna gave Jacob and Rem potions. They drank it and their health went to 100%. "We've defeated SAO" Kirito said. "We are so proud of all of you" Asuna said. After that they all grouped hugged and said "Let's meet in real life." All of them took their NerveGear off, except for Asuna, which wasn't able to get up from her coma.
