Kentrell's POV: Tonight was going good so far I just hope that the rest of the night goes good and that I get the answer I want to hear. As I was driving I couldn't help but stare at her she was so beautiful and her eyes was sparkling like the stars in the sky. I love this girl!
Shyla's POV: Aside from this uneasy feeling I have been having all night the night has been good. Kentrell had been driving so long it seemed like we had been in the car forever. After being in the car for an hour we pulled up to the beach. Kentrell got out and then he came and opened my door. He led me to the beach shore and when we got there it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! There was a blanket with a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate cheesecake and there were rose petals scattered everywhere. Not to mention the beautiful blue ocean, it was night time so the ocean was glowing in the moon light. It was so beautiful.
Shyla It's beautiful Kentrell no one has ever done anything like this for me before I love it!
Kentrell: I'm glad you love it.
Shyla's POV: Kentrell led us over to the blanket and we sat down. He poured us some champagne and as I was drinking I heard some music playing in the background it was one of my favorite songs Promise by Jagged Edge.
Shyla: I love this song!
Kentrell: You do huh?
Shyla: Yea.
Kentrell: You ever heard it live?
Shyla: No.
Kentrell: Well that's about to change cause your gone hear it live now.
Shyla: How is that?
Kentrell: Yo JE!
Shyla:OMG!
Shyla's POV: Out walked Jagged Edge on the beach singing one of my favorite songs. I was speechless! When it got to the chorus Kentrell started singing to me.
Kentrell: Nothing is promised to me and you so why would we let this thing go and baby I promise that I'll stay true don't let nobody say it ain't so and baby I promise that I will never leave and everything will be alright I promise these things to you girl just believe I promise.
Shyla's POV: At that point I lost it and I was crying like a baby. JE finished singing and then they left. After they were gone I looked up and there were a bunch of roses shaped into a heart and on the inside were the words will you be mine on the inside. I was crying even harder now. My uneasyness was still there DeAndre really messed me up. I didn't feel like I deserved someone like Kentrell or to have any of this stuff done for me. I was about to speak to tell Kentrell how I feel but it's like he knew what I was thinking and what I was about to say cause he spoke first.
Kentrell: Shyla you deserve the world and then some. And if you let me I want to give it you. I wanna give you all the love you deserve and beyond. I know DeAndre hurt you, messed your head up and told you things about yourself that wasn't true, like when he said you were ugly. Babygirl you are far from ugly you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life, your smile lights up the night sky. When he told you that no one else would want you, he was lying babygirl because I want you and I need you more than the air I breathe. I promise you babygirl I will never hurt you the way he did and I swear on my life I will never put my hands on you! I promise I'm a real one babygirl and I'll work everyday of my life to prove that to you. I love you Shyla and I just need to know if you love me too? Will you be my girl?
Kentrell pulls out ring box and opens it.
Shyla's POV: I was speechless, it wasn't just the beautiful ring it was everything!
Shyla: You really feel this way about me Kentrell?
Kentrell grabs Shyla's hand.
Kentrell: Yes a trillion times yes! I don't care if I just met you, my heart knows what it wants and that's you. Your my heart Shyla and I can't imagine my life without you. I want you to be my wife one day, have my kids, us be a family. I know it's too soon for all of that so right now I'll just be happy if you be my girl. So will you?
Shyla's POV: At that moment DeAndre exited my head and this time for good and I not only said the words Kentrell wanted to hear but I said the words I always wanted to say but didn't think that I ever deserved to say to anyone else especially Kentrell.
Shyla: ( Crying) Yes I will be your girl!
Kentrell smiles.
Kentrell: Fa real?!
Shyla smiles.
Shyla: Yes fa real!
Kentrell hugs Shyla
Kentrell: Awww babygirl you don't know you just made me the happiest man on the planet!
Shyla laughs.
Kentrell: I love you Shyla Maree Wilson.
Shyla: I love you too Kentrell Desean Gaulden.
Shyla's POV: Before I could say anything else Kentrell leaned in and kissed me. It was the most wonderful, sweetest kiss I have ever had in my life. I kissed him back and then he took the ring out of the box and placed it on my finger. It was so sparkly and shiny. If this was all a dream then I don't want to wake up I want to stay like this forever!
Kentrell's POV: Tonight was perfect! I got my forever, I got my love , I got my shawt! And I wouldn't trade this for nothing in the world!
