The History Lesson

Sonic's Pov

When I saw Genesis's face she looked sad. I guess if the roles were reversed I would be sad too if she was bitten. Technically if any of my friends got bitten I'd be sad or upset. Genesis spoke again in a sad/happy tone"thank goodness you're awake I thought you would never wake up." She looked like she was going to cry again and gives a little sniffle. I panic and start trying to cheer her up.

I say with a tone of worry " h-Hey please don't start crying on me right now Gen. Please cheer up I'll be okay." for some reason, she calmed down quickly and said in a cute sad voice "really? *sniff* you're okay? Are you sure? *sniff*." I blushed a little bit and responded " Yes I'm okay I just need time to rest that's all." she looked down and whispered "okay..." she was still a little upset about it so I gave her a little pat on the head and she smiled a bit.

" Why the hell are you kids up it's 2 am. You kids should be in bed sleeping." I tensed up a bit because something or Someone was speaking in a very deep and almost evil voice no lie it sounded like venom from the spiderman series and let me tell you it's scary. I turned to hear where that voice was coming from and I literally almost wanted to crap myself and cry bloody murder because I see what looks like Rachel's dad but freaking 5'7 ft tall with bat wings and a werewolf vampire hedgehog hybrid of some sort with glowing red eyes that can turn you to stone if he had the power too.

As I was shaking like a leaf. Genesis on the other hand just giggled and ran up to the man like she wasn't scared of him at all besides him being her dad I would expect the girl who's afraid of her own shadow to be crying her eyes out right now but she's not. I guess I don't know that much about one of my friends then huh? " Now little one you need to go to bed." he picks up Genesis like a baby and takes her to her bedroom while I follow him up the stairs nervously because the guest room is also upstairs. 

Once Rachel was put to bed he gave me a glare but it wasn't the angry glare that he always gives towards people but a more confused/curious glare." I can sense your fear towards me boy .you know I won't harm you trust me...I'm sure you have a lot of questions?... come let's talk in private." he told me while walking to the guest room and without hesitation, I followed him despite my fears. Once we made it to the guest room he took the chair in that room and sat on it and motioned me to sit on the bed I did what I was told because let's be real honest here I'm on his bad side because in his own words "I'm a hunk of mischief that can't sit still for 5 seconds and gets into danger 24/7...". 

Anyways I sat on the bed and looked into his blood-red eyes with absolute fear. He looked at me and gave an annoyed sigh and in a whispering angry tone and says " this going to be a long story but almost like a bedtime story so like a little history lesson of our culture and what secrets it holds. so listen well got it..." I nod my head really fast because I don't want to get yelled at or bopped in the head. 

"Good. Long ago, three races ruled over the Earth: Humans, Mobians, and Monsters. One day, a war broke out between the three races and after a long series of battles, the humans and Mobians were victorious. The greatest of their magicians confined the monsters to the underground with a magic barrier. However, this barrier is not a perfect barrier...or so they thought you see some Humans and Mobians were part Monster or mythical creature and either allowed to be on the surface or secretly living on the surface among the 'normal people'. Some live peaceful lives like the mermaids and mermen, and some live in constant fear that they'll be killed by hunters who found out that monsters live on the surface, while others don't fear humans or man and considered themselves as powerful and strong and can easily take revenge like the Vampires and Werewolves who are constantly fighting over who is better or the ogres, dragons, fae, and fairy. and before you ask no not all monsters are like that some are very kind and rather be your friend than murder you alive trust me.". 

He told me. I was amazed by how much lore our world had. I didn't even think Monsters existed but after today's incident, I believe everything he's telling me right now. "So...what attacked me was a werewolf?" I asked him in a concerned tone. "Yes, it was... a Rouge Werewolf...a werewolf that doesn't have a pack and likes to attack people for the heck of it. and I can assure you he bit you on purpose and not by accident. He told me himself before...taking a long eternal nap." after he said that I flinched "s-so you killed him?!" I said very scaredly and with a pale face. " Yes I did it was either you kids getting eaten and mauled to death or his death and I rather have the second choice than the first one wouldn't you agree?" he told me rather bluntly. 

"Y-Yeah...so w-will I will be like him...or will I be like you?" I asked. "Well. that's up to you on whether you want to be a killer or not. But since you have a good heart I doubt that would ever happen unless you lose control of your werewolf side. which I'm sure that wolf puppy in your body would probably refuse that thought after the incident or from the story I told you. and for being like me... I wouldn't want you to live to be immortal and not dying from old age and watching people fall isn't something you want over decades of living. plus you are not a vampire-werewolf hedgehog hybrid either." he chuckles at that last part.

I smiled but then also think about what he said too what does he mean by wolf pup is there a second being inside my body or was he joking about that? so I asked him " hey Mr.Damion what do you mean by the wolf pup inside of me?". he gave me a sigh and smiled almost " since you have been bitten. You, my friend, can't turn into a werewolf until you are 15 or 16 years old there for your werewolf form would be trapped in your mind and can only be communicated by meditation or falling asleep and you'll probably see him often but as tiny fragments, because he'll be in your mindscape. it's hard to explain really...". 

Once he said that I can kind of imagine it. "So I'd be like Venom and Eddie Brocks relationship like a simb-symbo..." "Symbiotic." "Symbiotic yeah that?!" I said. He responded, "yes sort of like that Ogilvie." I gave a shocked face and gave my angry, embraced, crying face and had a voice crack and sounded like a squeaking mouse " Don't call me that!!!".  he laughed almost super loud. 

He looked like he was dying of laughter. Yeah for you folks that is my real name and I would it to be known that I don't and repeat DO NOT like being called that...it's embracing okay...and it sounds weird so I rather people call me Sonic and not by my First or Middle name maybe my mom or pops can get away with it but nobody else can call me that.

After he was done laughing he lounged out wiped the tears out of his eye and cleared his throat "Okay kid time for bed." I do as he says and tuck myself into bed before he left to close the door he turned to me and said "Oh and by the way don't tell your friends or the princess about had happened to you I don't want to hear it from the king later on what happened on my watch. this remains a secret remember that. Good night Sonic." he closes the door and leaves me in darkness. "good night sir..." I said quietly.

Just before I go to bed though the door opens a crack and I see a tiny 2.4ft hedgehog with tears in her eyes giving a puppy face " i-I had a nightmare can I stay with you tonight?" Genesis said whispering with puppy eyes...and there goes my heart. WHY did she use the puppy face nobody can say no to her when she does that face it's like she using hypnotism GOSH!!! and I'm not the only person she uses it on either she uses it on almost everyone and it's worse when she's crying and does it because it makes it even harder to say no. For example when she was staying over at Acorn Castle. Genesis had run into Sally's room a crying mess because she had a terrible dream and Sally was about to say no (not in a mean way but because she was working on a machine of some sort)  but then Gen hugged her crying and instantly Sal caved in and let her stay in her room to sleep...

I sighed and nod yes she can stay in this room. "yay!" she whispers yells and ran to the guest bed and crawled into the bed and lay down next to me. "good night sonic." she whispered. Before I could say good night she was out like a light. I gave a soft smile and put the blanket on her. "Good Night Gen. Pleasant dreams...". I then go to bed and fall asleep.

(A/N: so for those of you that have waited for this next chapter I'm sorry I was sick for a while but now I'm better Hooray! but now I'm going back to college and won't be writing as much boo.
