8 years have passed and it's the middle of August, and the kids were enjoying their last month of summer before school starts. Sally and Bunnie were doing each other's hair, Antione and Sonic were playing a video game (you pick) and Rotor was making a small gadget while Genesis decided to watch the day was quiet and the kids got bored fast especially sonic. Sonic made a loud sigh and said, "I'm bored is anyone else bored?". Everyone sighed in agreement until Sally said, " Hey it's a beautiful day outside let's go and play." The kids cheer and ran out of the little house they were in. Well, they were playing Genesis decided to sit down floor next to someone else's house until she hears someone opening a window.

It was Mr.Prower one of her mom's friends who were in the great war with Mr.Charles and Sonic's Dad. She goes up to greet the fox. "Hi, Mr. Prower, h-how are you doing today?" she asked in a charming yet shy way. Mr.Prower sighs and says to the small girl with a smile "I'm well my dear and how are you doing today you seem quieter than usual is something wrong?". Genesis replies saying "No I'm okay I'm just really tired today and I don't wanna play right now." giving him a soft and asks "How's Mrs. Prower doing?"

Mr. Prower gives a nervous face and says "she's doing okay we're just very worried about the baby because his coming soon." and Genesis says "oooooooohhhhhhhhh. okay." gives another smile. Then they hear Mrs.Prower call Mr.Prower and he says his short goodbye to the little girl. She was now in her own little world and couldn't hear the blue hedgehog and brown chipmunk calling her name until one of the taps on her shoulder. she whips her head around looking for who touched her shoulder and then looks in front of her and sees that Sonic and Sally were in front of her. She apologizes for not noticing them sooner and the two forgive her.

Sally says in a worried tone," it's okay Genesis we just wanted to make you were okay you spaced out for 5 mins." Genesis says "I was just thinking about something that's all." Sonic being the curious person asks "what kind of stuff?" "Well..." she pauses and continues"well it's just people have been disappearing left and right without a word of explanation and it got me thinking... and this might be a theory but I think Dr. Julian is behind it." she has this worried and fearful look on her face that something isn't right with the man and she has her suspicions. Even her Dad and Mr.Prower think so too. He came here to Mobotropolis out of nowhere and proposes stuff that is impossible and to the King, thinks he's a good man but something bad might be going on.

Sally says " oh come on Genesis I don't you think you're just being a little paranoid?" "w-well I mean I guess..." Genesis says with concern but before she says another word Mr.Prower Comes through the door and asks "Kids I need you to do me a favor?" Sonic asks " what's the favor, sir?" Mr.Prower says "I need to do something important in the castle I need you to watch my wife for me okay?". The kids nod in agreement and Mr.Prower thanked them and left on his mission.

2 hours later

Genesis's Pov

it's been 2 hours since Mr.Prower left for his mission and Mrs. Prower doesn't look too good right now I went to get some water and a hot towel to put over her head until I heard her scream. I rushed into their bedroom seeing Mrs.Prower in pain. With a worried expression on my face, I ask "Mrs. Prower what happened?! Are you okay???" and just ask said that the other kids opened the front door too and had asked the same question.

Mrs.Prower said " The baby's coming! I have to get to Dr.Quack's Infirmary!" everyone in that room had a panicked face on them except Sally who always knew what to do. Sonic said frantically and wide-eyed said "She's in Labor?! There's no way on her walking out of the house and to the doctor." then Sally said, "Don't Worry Mrs.Prower We'll get you there!" we all gave the how are we going to do that expression.

Sally then point to the window showing the wagon that was outside the house and it gave us the idea to carry Mrs.Prower to the doctor's office. Bunnie, Sally, and I had to help Mrs.Prower onto the wagon, Sonic had tied himself to the wagon handle with a rope due to him being faster than all of us, and Antione and Rotor helped make sure everything is secure.

Once that was done we all ran to the hospital as fast as we could and not making any stops. Once we got to the hospital we told the nurses everything, they took Mrs.Prower to the emergency room and we had to wait outside of that room until they told us to come in. Meanwhile Sally and had called our parents to tell us where they are and that they should come over. 2 minutes later King Acorn and my parents came over to see what was happening with Mrs.Prower.

Shortly after we were allowed to come inside the room and see Mrs.Prower holding a baby in her arms and talking to Dr.Quak. The other kids and I all kind of wanted to see the baby so we were crowding the medical bed trying to see what the baby looked like. The King then took the baby who he called Miles and to everyone's surprise, Miles had two twin tails. I thought they looked really cool on Miles I wanted to hold him but the Rotor said "hey look here they come" we gave a confused look at what he said by they but it turns out to be Mr.Prower and Mr.Robotnik who I and my family don't trust what so ever. Mr. Robotnik said "Sorry we're late, Commander Prower was in--err--a contaminated room...but as soon as we heard, we rushed over here!" then the guy who was with him said, "we want to keep him sterile so no risk to the baby!"

When they said those words could tell in my heart that they are lying but I didn't want to assume right away I had to be fully sure they weren't. Then Dr. Quak allowed Mr.Prowers to see the baby. Mrs.Prower said, "Look Miles it's your daddy." Miles was cooing and giggling reaching for his father but then Mr. Prower turned to leave he didn't even want to look at Miles everyone was shocked when he did that except my sister she muttered saying "of course, he would have that reaction his son looks like a freak with those tails." I glared at her giving her a what is wrong with your face how could you say that you're lucky no one else heard you?

Mrs.Prowers started to cry and my mother and the king started to comfort her telling her it will be okay when I looked at my father he gave a look of suspicion Knowing Mr.Prower well he knew he would never do something like that and know something was wrong then Mr.Robotnik opening the door about to leave said "He's probably still concentrating on what he was doing at the lab. we'll go back with him. come along Snively" King Acron walked up to Mr.Robotnik and said "Jillian come see me after the ceremony tonight. after dismantling is finished, there will be several other major changes around here." Mr.Robotnik in a hidden menacing way said, "oh to be sure, your majesty there certainly will be."

Mr.Robotnik, Snively, and Mr.Prower leave the room and Miles starts crying his little eyes out the doctor holding Miles looking at Mr.Prower who was now sleeping said " The Poor exhausted woman had cried herself to sleep. tsk, now the baby is fussing." Sonic had come up to the doctor and asked: "here-May I hold the baby?" Dr.Quak nodded and handed Miles over to Sonic. Sonic smiled and then said "Hey Little buddy, I can tell you and I are gonna be fast friends!" he hugs the baby gently and Miles starts giggling and smiling again. Sally, Bunnie, and I awwed when he said and Rotor and Antone smiled, while my sister gave a grossed-out face my dad noticed it and plucked her upside the head gently giving the that's rude stop it faces. My sister then crossed her arms giving a small hmph.

Sometimes I wish I could understand my sister I guess we really are different...
