Carina POV : I hear Joe knocking on the bathroom door asking me to open it . I took a few minutes, wipe some of the tears off my face and I open the door. When I open the door joe took my hand and pulled me into a hug " you feel better " he asked and I replied " now I feel better " and then I told him that I'm going to meet Lem in the cafe for dinner . I went to go get ready for dinner and when I got out of the bedroom joe kisses my head . When I was about to close the door I hear Joe telling me to be careful.

I got to the cafe I saw Lem sitting at the midnighters table . He got up and pulled out a chair for me to sit down . " glad you made it , how is your side feeling " he asked " it still hurts , but not as bad " I said . " what can I get you carina " asked creek "I going to have the meatloaf with fries, and water to drink " I said " okay , it will be a few minutes " she said as she walked away . " so what was my mom like " I asked Lem " she was a lot like you ,but before she left she want me to watch out for you when you come to midnight " he said " was my dad with her " I asked and then creek came with my food " he wasn't with your mom but she had this worried look on her face " he said . We talk for a little bit until Lem had to go. After Lem left I wait until creek was leaving to leave with her . We walk out of the cafe and before we reach Bobo store someone grab me . It threw me on the ground and threw Creek against the wall . When I look over at creek she was knocked out. The person started to pick me up , but I started screaming and then I was no longer in the person arms I was in Lem's . He set me down and I ran over to creek who was starting to wake up. Lem grab the person and then the person look at Lem " long time no see, Lem " the person said as he started to stand up " "zachariah " Lem said . " you know him " I asked Lem " yeah , he was the one who turned me " Lem said "zachariah ,meet my niece Carina " Lem said " your niece " zachariah said . " Carina, I heard screaming are you okay " said Joe as he started walking towards me " yeah , just meeting uncle Lem's friend " I said as he hugged me. " let's meet tomorrow night" Lem said " sure , the sun's about to come up " zachariah said " also no draining anyone in midnight , including my niece " Lem said " you have my word " zachariah said. Me and joe said our goodnights and headed home. Before I close the front door I look back to where zachariah was and he was standing near his look back at me.

" hey joe , can you sleep in the bed with me " I said "sure" he said as he climb into bed " I don't trust Zachariah" I said " I don't blame you , he just shows up and want to be friend with us " Joe said. We talked for a few minutes and then we went to sleep. I woke up with the smell of pancakes " happy birthday" joe said " how did you know" I asked him " you grandma called me and told me " joe said. After I ate I headed to Fiji house " carina, how are you " she asked " I'm doing well " I said as I felt something against my leg " hey cutie " I said " that is Mr snuggles " Fiji said as she fix us some tea . We talked for hours about our childhood, and then I headed to the cafe . When I walked in Lem was on the floor and near him was Zachariah . Olivia was fighting another vampire and Zachariah headed towards me " the sweet little niece " he said and then he grabbing Lem . He and Lem head upstairs and then another vampire came in and grab me . " carina, duck " said Olivia as she shot a gun and hit the vampire. " we need to protect the town people " she said as me and her headed to get the town people to the church for safety. When we got everybody in the church joe asked " how are going to get Rid of the vampire". " my grandma might have kept something from my ancestors that might help , but I have to get to my van " said Manfred " I go with you" said Joe . " rev , watch carina for me and make sure she doesn't leave this church" said Joe as him and Manfred headed out. I found a seat on the floor near a window " you must be carina " a voice said and the I looked up to see the rev . I hold my side " it's okay , I'm not going to hurt you " he said as he sat next to me . We talked for a little bit and the Olivia told me that joe need her help . She headed out the door and when she did I started feeling light headed. A vision came to me and I passed out.
Carina vision : I saw this little girl sitting on the bed and just then Lem came in with Zachariah " she's a present for you " Zachariah said and then he left . Lem looked at the girl a told her she can leave . " you're letting me go " she said " yes " Lem said " let me do something for you " she said and then I see this light .
" carina , can you hear me " said Joe as he was holding me against him . My eyes open to see him and Manfred " is the town save and is Lem okay " I asked " he'll be fine " said Olivia as she walked into the church " let's go home " I said and then joe carried me to the church door and I walk the rest of the way " how do you get rid of the vampires " I asked " we made a light , from a crystal and a flashlight " he said and we walked into the front door. I laid down on the bed and joe came in the bedroom. " I wanted to do this ever since I met you " he said and then he kissed me. When he finished kissing me I said " I love you " and he replied " I love you too"
