The dark night sky provides the perfect compliment for the shining stars that gaze down on the world, illuminating the hearts of those who see them. Gintoki lazily points a finger to a cluster of stars.
"Ah, that's Orion." A laugh sounds beside him.
"That's not Orion."
(Name) lifts her own hand to the sky, pointing at the same cluster.
"That's just a spaceship."
Gintoki hums. "At least I spotted one."
"You didn't!" (Name) laughs, turning her neck to face the man lying beside her.
"I'll pay you fifteen hundred yen if you can actually find and successfully name a constellation tonight."
Gintoki's eyes widen, a sparkle to them as he gazes into her eyes. "Seriously?!"
He turns his head back to the sky, his finger moving as he scans the billions of stars. "Let's see, uh..."
His face turns sour in his moment of focus, causing a smile to creep onto (Name)'s lips as she watches his face, not caring about the stars at all.
"That! That's, uh, Cygnus?" Gintoki points randomly.
"Yeah, you're right. That's Cygnus," (Name) smiles, never even moving to look or correct him.
"Aha! I'll take that fifteen hundred now!" Gintoki grins, his eyes sparkling as he looks at her. His eyes soften as he sees (Name) simply smiling at him, her shoulder brushing against his as they lie on the roof of Odd Jobs Gin.
A comfortable silence ensues between the two, only broken when (Name) leans over to gently peck Gintokis nose, making her laugh lightly.
"What was that for?" He inquires.
(Name) winks playfully.
"Just letting you know you're the only star I see."
Gintoki grins.
"Well, you're my whole universe."
(Name)'s eyebrows shoot up in surprise and she gasps.
"Gintoki, that was a very romantic line! Did you come up with that yourself?"
He winks, crossing his arms over his chest. "Of course. I'm romantic as fuck."
He looks at her out of the corner of his eye, unable to hold back his smile when he sees (Name) raising a brow teasingly.
"Fine. I heard it on a drama."
(Name) laughs, shuffling to lean her head against Gintoki's shoulder.
"Well even so, that was a nice line delivery."
They stare up at the stars again with smiles on their faces. Gintoki turns his head to place a kiss on (Name)'s cheek and then wraps his arms around her, the two continuing to sit in silence under the peaceful guidance of the stars above.
