I was surprised that we went into school Saturday. I was told they had a school festival.
The students had made various dishes from around the region and were selling fruit and vegetables as well.
There was also a festival going on at the town's train station where they were making soba and other food. I was surprised to hear that the food was free. There were a lot of members of the community there, it was a very nice gathering.
They also had a small museum which showed manga artists from the area. There was art from Yoshihiro Togashi, creator or Yu yu hakusho and Hunter X Hunter.

They made us fly them in front of everyone which was quite embarrassing but it was fine.
School ended a lot earlier than the the first day, being around 1:30 pm.
Then my host mother and Chikage took me out for lunch. I got ramen.
