Wednesday
When we arrived at the school we had some time to spare so we all took pictures with Meadow's Forky.
Then we went to the same room we had done the Shodo in. There we got the chance to finish our new years card and then show a few students some NZ weaving using paper.
I made mine red and green for Christmas. We then got to make a big poster for the school, expressing our gratitude to the school. It was a shame we had to leave after that. We gathered at the front of the school and everyone came to say goodbye to us.
My host student started crying when we said good bye which really surprised me. And it set me off too along with a few others. I had so much fun with her and am grateful for her letting me stay with her.
I made sure to hug her and make sure she was alright before I left. We took a few photos with various students before we had to leave, saying good bye to them all.
We then got into the van that was supposed to take us away, the students waving to us from the windows of the school building and gathering in front of the school to wave us off as we were all crying messes.
