Sonadow: Night Falls

Chapter One

Sonic had landed face-first in the dirt beside a windmill. The Chaos Emeralds fell around him as he tried to pull his head out of the earth.

"What the heck is going on?!" Sonic asked himself once his face was no loner sucking dirt. He looked around, seeing the emeralds and a little chihuahua thing. Sonic continued to look around, not noticing the creature, but then immediately turned back to it. He walked to it and picked it up by the tail. Sonic shook the poor thing like a rag doll and asked, "Are you okay?" The creature mumbled in it's unconscious state, "Can't. . .I can't. . .Eat another bite." Sonic shook the chihuahua thing and said, "Pull yourself together!" The creature opened it's brown eyes to scan the creature before it. The creature screamed and struggled to get out of Sonic's grasp. The chihuahua kicked Sonic in the face before scampering and hiding be hind a bush. Sonic shook his head to clear it of shock.

"Don't eat me!" The creature called, "I taste bad!"

"Are you okay?" Sonic replied, "Nothing broken?" The creature was shocked for a moment but replied, "Oh, I'm just fine! Thanks for asking, Mister Monster Guy!"

"Mister. . .Monster Guy?" Sonic repeated, curious as to what the chihuahua was referring to. That's when Sonic saw what he looked like. "Looks like things have gotten pretty ugly."

"Yeah," the chihuahua replied, flying around Sonic, "Look at those teeth! And those claws! What's your name anyway?"

"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. And you are?"

The chihuahua thought for a moment then worriedly asked himself, "What is my name?" HE then ran around in circles screaming, "I don't know! I can't remember!"

"What?" Sonic asked, surprised, "You forgot who you are?"

"Yup," the thing replied, "I remember something falling from the sky. . .and everything just going all white. . .and then nothing! I can't remember a thing past that!"

Uh oh, did I fall on him?

"Oh, man, what am I gonna do?! What can I do?! Where do I go from here?! What'll I. . .I'm hungry."

"Hey, don't worry," Sonic told the creature, holding him in his hand, "I'll help you get your memory back."

"Really?" the creature looked up, "You mean it?"

"Absolutely!" Sonic replied, "I'm sure we'll find somebody who knows you if we look around."

"Oh, thank you! You're the best Mister Monster Gu-- I mean Sonic the Hedgehog."

The two laughed and the flying creature circled Sonic. Sonic slowly turned to the rising sun. The sunlight touched Sonic and he turned back into his cute, cuddly self. He looked at himself, surprised.

"That was awesome!" The chihuahua remarked.

"This is too weird," Sonic said to himself. He looked at the little creature. "This is who I really am. C'mon, We should probably try to find Shadow first."

"Who's Shadow?" the creature asked, following Sonic as he started to head toward the village. Sonic chuckled and replied, "He's my boyfriend."
