Beep beep beep.

I grunt in annoyance and slam the clock on the bedside table. The moment of silence ended when my phone starts to ring.

Mom.

"Yes?"

"Can you make it to our anniversary this year?" She voice with a little plead as I sigh in displeased.

"I will try"

She was overjoyed and thanked me countless times making me guilty for thinking I should skip this year's meeting. The phone call end and I rub my temple as I glance towards the clock. It showed 8.05 a.m and that when my eyes widen in shock.

Oh shit.

I dress up quickly and rush towards my motorcycle not before giving Nancy, my cat a kiss. I pick her up somewhere I don't remember and now I have grown attached to her.

Thank god my school is not that far. I park my ride and walk fast to my class. I stop on my track when I spot a guy looking helplessly as I count when he was about to bump into me.

Bump.

"Oh fuck, shit. I'm so sorry" he muttered while picking up his belonging on the floor. His eyes soon meet mines and he just keeps on staring until I raised an eyebrow.

"Jess?" he knit his eyebrow while eyeing me from head to toe. "Yes, it is you!"

"Sorry?" I take a step back when he trying to come closer. I don't recall anyone with tan skin and sharp jawline as my friend.

Not him, not anyone.

"It's hurt my feeling when you don't remember me but it is a given though since I have changed" He dusts off his shirt and smile at me while I, on the other hand, trying my best to remember him. Maybe he is one of my clients but I don't give them my real name.

"It's me Andrew, Andrew Kennedy." He gestures to himself while I leave my mouth hanging. "The Big Ant. The kid who is..." I raise my hand to stop him and eyeing him from head to toe.

"The big ant?"

"Yes! It's me. Thank god I know someone in this school, especially you. I have been looking for you like everywhere."

"You have been looking for me?" I shake my head with a smirk "Why?"

"Because, I like you" His eyes widen in shock "No, I mean as a friend of course. You are the one who saves me from those bastards back then." He rubs his neck in an uncomfortable position while I nod my head.

"But, wow. I can't believe you are the same person as that Big ant. Back then you were.." I did not end my sentences when I met him for the first time in elementary school. He was quite what you say an overweight person for his age and always end up getting teased on.

"We should hang out sometimes," I said while handing him my phone. "Put yours in" He did not waste a single second to type in his number and give it back to me. I glance at my phone and gasp.

I am late.

"Look, I am getting late for my class and we really should meet sometimes" I point my hand at him and rush to my class.

Inhale.

Exhale.

"Hello, Mrs. Jane, fancy meeting you today. As expected you look as beautiful as yesterday." I said while walking inside the class with an eye watching me from all directions.
